Hi there

I'm coming over from the 5G Ranger side, have been interested in getting a Bronco for a bit and I am stopping by to see what kind of problems, recalls, TSBs plague the Bronco. I am interested in the Badlands w/ Sasquatch package, 2dr, V6. So far my Ranger has been great, no issues (not even the 10R80 lol) and I'm quite pleased with it. It's just the Bronco, in the configuration I am interested in just is more of a complete package for me with what the Ranger is missing. There is one local to me priced decent that I looked at, just need to verify it fits in my garage first . I'll be browsing the issues section, but if anyone might give me some cliff notes on what to look for that would be appreciated.

I'm local to you. Welcome!! Nice picture from Pops.
I've got a 2-door Badlands myself, but it's a 2.3 manual non-Sas, but I am lifted on beadlocks and 37's. Do you plan on doing trails at Disney or is this just a cool daily driver?

Early 2.7's had valve issues, but I think that's resolved. Most Bronco's have a windshield recall for better adhesive, but most people wait until after they get their first crack. Sasquatch versions have a recall on the rear Bilstein shocks, but no replacements yet. Oh yeah, there was a wiper motor speed issue recall. Mine has every Open Recall (except 2.7 valves) and I've never taken it in or had any reason to get anything "fixed". I'm about to roll over 34,000 miles.

Not gonna be a mall crawler  , would definitely like to get out on some trails, maybe eventually do some overlanding. It's a new scene for me, been into cars my whole life, but not into Off-roading till now, just easing my way into it.

The fun thing is to put your Bronco in 4L, lock the front diff, then hit obstacles hard while jerking the wheel back and forth and applying lots of long pedal. It’s a hoot!

If you are accustomed to having a pickup truck, you may want to have a utility trailer. Towing capacity is only 3,500 pounds. Ranger is 7,500. Payload is about 1,100 pounds. Ranger is about 1,800. I have a 2 door Basesquatch, 2.7 auto with advanced 4x4. I love it, but it isn't a family car. Limited cargo space, and a pain in the ass to get into the back seat. You have to want this type of vehicle, and accept that it has it's limitations.

It's just me, so a 2dr is just fine as far as space :like:

You will love the 2dr with 2.7 . Coming from the 2.3 in the Ranger it's a blast. Mine was a 2020 FX4 Lariat. Don't miss it at all.

I have a 23 Badlands Sasquatch 2 door with the 2.7 and my wife has a 21 Ranger Tremor. The Ranger is a good truck but I prefer everything about the Bronco.

So I went and physically looked at it yesterday on my lunch break, took a 6' level and a measuring tape with me. Ford website states Badlands 2dr 4x4 is supposed to be 71.9" tall. Doesn't mention anything about with or without SAS pkg, I assumed it would be taller with. If my quick measurement was correct, SAS pkg was roughly 74.5". If correct, it should fit in my garage with a few inches to spare :like: .

Now, if I eventually want to overland, any type of rack and RTT might be an issue, but I can cross that bridge later lol.

Been seeing a lot of comments regarding wind noise in Broncos, how's the comparison to a Ranger since you have access to both? I should probably test drive it to see for myself lol.

Wind noise is much higher in the Bronco lol. Interestingly enough the tire noise is more noticeable in the Ranger but in the Bronco you can't hear the tires as much because the wind. The Bronco overall is louder inside while going down the road but it is tolerable to me.

Stay away from the heavily loaded up examples with AdaptCruise control, etc. my ā€˜23 Big Bend Sasquatch V6 soft top has been faultless in 2 years and 17k miles. I do my own oil changes so it’s never been back to the dealer which may be part of the reason it’s been trouble free. Don’t waste money on Lux pkg ., the safety Nannie’s and B&O sound system are useless. I would and will buy another Bronco, looking at a ā€˜24 Raptor right now.
