Still 1000 miles to go by miles. Anybody know if there's a time factor as well?

How long has it been? I've seen talk that there's a 12 month counter too.
I usually change at 5k but I had to stretch one out to 10k once on a road trip and it didn't prompt me til about 9500.

Under certain conditions the vehicle’s intelligent oil life monitor may determine your oil requires replacement prior to your general service. Should this occur it is recommended you replace your oil within two weeks or 500 mi (800 km) of being alerted.

Engine Oil Life
The message center provides messages to inform the driver about the engine oil life status, engine oil life reset status and when an engine oil change is required. The duration of the interval between engine oil changes is calculated in the PCM and varies due to driving conditions. The PCM assumes a base mileage of 16,090 km (10,000 mi) or 1 year for normal driving. However, this number is adjusted down for conditions such as high engine temperature, high engine rpm, use of flex fuel and possibly low engine oil level. The PCM calculates and provides the engine oil life percent message to the IPC . The IPC further converts the remaining engine oil life using the driver's configured engine oil life start value and displays the engine oil life percentage, indicating the remaining engine oil life. The engine oil change minder can be reset at any time by the driver.

My 22 BL that I bought in March of 22 only has 9590 miles. I changed the oil myself at 5000miles and I have not received any change now messages.
Well, your Bronco is what, 3 years old now ?
If is wasn’t your Bronco’s nanny telling you to change the oil, it would be me calling your phone to tell you to change your oil, bro.

It is 2.3 years old, and this would be its 4th oil change, ~18,000 miles...

I have no idea why they preset the strategy for 10K, that's insanity unless it's a hybrid. Hell, 7,500 is too much in my opinion unless you're one of those that does a few hundred miles a day. Min is once a year, should be every six months if I wrote the book and/or 5K. Would rather do early than try and stretch them out to save a few bucks. Full synthetic or blend, rules are the same.

the cleaner you keep your oil the longer the turbos last they have filter screens in he lines that send oil to the turbos if screen clogs turbo doesnt get proper lube then you have to replace them!!

Oil companies love me, I change my oil in my cars between 3,000 and 3,500 miles. To me it is just "cheap" insurance.
I'm in the same boat...oil change prompt at just over 4k miles but I chalk mine up to high RPMs...I like to be in the power band
I've started getting nags from carfax. I suppose they got in the loop at some of these oil change places. In our case we still have our Rubicon but don't drive it much since we got the Bronco and carfax sends us nags to change the oil on our Jeep. The jeep gives us a warning when it's time to change so really don't want or need the carfax.
