I have been trying to decide on tires for the new Braptor and I think I like the 37 but in a 13.50 instead of a 12.50. I will also get an aftermarket wheel. Not a lot of guys running the 13.50 so I can't seem to find the info on here. If I go with either a 37/13.50/17 or 37/13.50/18 - do I need a 9" width on the wheel and what offset do I need to match the poke of a 12.50 at 0 offset?

Confused, weren’t both of those questions just answered in some of your other recent, similar threads?

Tye gave you the answer to both: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/show-us-your-braptor-only-wheel-tire-upgrades.71065/page-8

37x13.5x17 generally works better on a 9”+ wheel

Looking at any wheel chart or inch to mm conversion tool shows that 1” = 25.4mm divided by 2 = 12.7mm more “poke” with a true 13.5 vs 12.5. If you want the 13.5 to land in approximately the same spot outside the fender flair as a 0 offset, you would need a +12.7 offset ( more or less, all things being equal)

Nope. One of the helpful guys said that I should go with a 0 offset and an 8.5 wide wheel for the poke I want. But my question above is related to a 13.50 wide tire. Do I need to go to a 9 and I would assume I need a different offset since the wheel is now .5 wider

Yep,

Tye answered the wheel width question in post 116, and provided a wheel table in post 120.

Good luck

Thanks, the last part of your reply is what I was confused about. So, if you could be so kind as to tell me if I am reading this correctly.

The Fuel Covert wheels come in a 17x8.5 and 0 offset which sounds perfect for a 12.50 wide tire. In the 17x9 they only come in a +01 or a -12. There is no option for anything else. So if I went with the 17x9 and +01 then I would be poking out about .5" further on just the wheel plus the extra inch on the tire for a total of 1.5"?

At a high level, when a 10” wide tire is mounted on a 8” wheel, doesn’t the tire overhang 1” on the inside and 1” on the outside of the wheel?

A 13.5 pokes outside the wheel .5” more and pokes inside the wheel .5” more when compared to a 12.5

Wheel offsets differ between brands and only a few different offsets are offered in any given model.

If you want the Covert wheels above with 13.5s mounted on them to look similar to the 12.5s above, the +01 is the choice between the 2 available offsets in that size. Not an exact match, but as close as possible given those choices.

Too little “poke” with 13.5s on the Bronco Raptor and you run the risk of interference with the UCAs..
