Vehicle is on order (approx. 4 month wait), so I'm looking at some modifications to do with making a hitch based bike carrier. I will ask about other dimensions soon. The one thing I'd like to know now is "What is the overall length of the vehicle with the rear door open at 90*?" This will help with organizing garage space.

Just measured my 4dr in the dark. Not going to be perfect, but looks like 19'2"

Thanks, that's more than I expected. 230" only leaves 10" left in my garage. No way I can squeeze through that if I was trying to move past the open door. I'm designing a hitch mounted lift for an electric dirt bike that weighs about 220 lbs. A way to get a more accurate length might be to measure hinge to end of door open vs hinge to spare tire face door closed. That would be added to the stock 189.6"

Other measurements I'm looking for:
Ground to center of hitch tube.
Ground to center of spare tire.
Diameter of spare tire.
Overall width of spare tire.
Distance from face of hitch tube to rearmost surface of spare tire.
This will give me a starting point to see if it's practical.

Another question: Is there enough length behind the rear seat to have the spare tire inside the vehicle against the right hand wall (maybe strapped to the roll bar tube or a suitable bracket)? I'm considering reducing the overhang by not having the spare on the rear door.

Priorities, my good man. .... Might be time for either a new home or a garage reno. 😉

Mind reader you are sir. I'm getting the garage floor slab replaced and moving the doors out farther.

Yeah, I'm personally tired of the 4 bedroom house and 2 car garage .... now seeking a 2 bedroom house and 6 car garage. I don't need more living space, I need more toys. 😎
