Except they DID do the Bronco name plate on a blob-shaped crossover...lol
It actually turned out that putting the Bronco Sport name on a smaller truck was a brilliant and lucrative idea. Most would call it boxy in shape, rather than blob-shaped.

It's a true body-on-frame full-capability truck, not a crossover SUV or pricey Range Rover. Emphasis was directed away from power-folding side mirrors and cooled seats to the core elements a Bronco should have.

As has been said, Ford did it right, rather than slapping the venerated Bronco nameplate on some characterless, blob-shaped crossover with power side mirrors and cooled seats.
gotta disagree with you here. The first year they did it right, differentiating rugged off-road in the Badlands with a more luxurious Wildtrak model over it. The first year the Wildtrak had painted mirrors, door handles, and was supposed to have the painted top.

Broncos can be both rugged off-road, and high end luxury, especially if we’re paying upwards of $75 for em.

top back sun beating on the seats, they get super hot. There’s no reason not to add cooled seats.

Can anyone tell me how much the Badlands went up in price?
Canadian B&P isn't live yet (of course)
Base price on Badlands actually went down a little bit now that the stabilizer bar disconnect is optional.

The price on all of the options are little mixed. Some went up, a few went down, most are the same as they were before.

My personal Badlands build went up a few hundred dollars, but if you account for the fact that I wouldn't order the Stabilizer Bar Disconnect (I bought Badlands for the lockers), it actually went down in price.

You can order a 2 door Jeep with 35's? Didn't know that was a thing 🤷
Extreme recon package I believe.
They call it the XTREME 35-Inch Tire Package on the Jeep B&P.

They started offering it for '24, I believe. I should have waited a year (mine is a '23) for the 35s and the return of Mojito.

Oh, I see it's automatically selected with the Squatch pack...
So must be a bigger up-charge for the Sasquatch package now....

That's cool.... I remember when they first offered 35's you had to opt for the Extreme option pack....? Which put the Jeep WAY up there in price. 🙄

I would get the Heritage in Avalanche, add the 10 speed auto transmission. Seems like the best Value of all trims.

2 door and 4 door Badlands start at the same base price? Is this an error?
Seeing the 4 door come standard with hardtop as well... But it's a little more money with the body painted option than the 2 door body paint box ticked off

Not an error. Also not new, that was a 2025 change.

It's still soft top standard on most trims with 4-door, but on Build & Price they designed it goofy so that it automatically gets added when you select certain things.

I wish someone would ask me to redesign Build & Price, it's always been very goofy. Like the Front Locker on Badlands, for example... that is a standard Badlands option, but you'd have no idea it was just by looking at Build & Price.

Yeah, it was originally the Xtreme Recon package and people were shortening to XR. Stupid name. Could only get it on the Rubicon at first.

RIP to the only good colors we had left. Stellantis always has exciting colors available on the Wrangler. I didn't buy a Bronco for it to blend in with every other boring car on the road.

Heck the Base model MSRP is about 8k more expensive than the MSRP for my 2023 base 2 door. A 25% increase in 3 model years!!!
I threw this together to compare with my 2021, and I can't believe what I'd have to give up to get anywhere close to what I paid for my late-built '21 that I received in '22. The thing is, I don't think I'd even want ANY Bronco that was missing the options that I would lose today, to stay in my price range of ~50k, and still be a 2 Dr and have the 7MT:

Just two friends talking, I don't think anyone expects the Bronco to be high-end luxury. A Range Rover......it will never be and no such intention ever existed (whereas FCA had that intention with the Grand Wagoneer).
The hi-lux is nice and applicable, but not high-end luxury.
