Not sure about the grab handle, but they took away the leather shifter boot on the Big Bend.Did they even make the A pillar grab handles standard across the trims like on the anniversary model? Or any other interior changes?
I have the 3.0 in an explorer and it is anemic compared to the 2.7 in my two-door bronco. And even though the 2.7 destroys the coyote from a performance standpoint in my F150 trucks, I still would’ve bought one of them just for the V8 sound. More options would’ve been great but auto manufacturers like less options to keep their manufacturing costs down and their profits higher.IMO the Stroppe is a Wildtrak with an appearance package. That doesn't justify the price tag which I think is resulting in sitting on the lots. I honestly like the color scheme as it does pay homage to the orginal Baja Stroppe. The Stroppe needed an additional performance upgrade, e.g. 3.0 in place of the 2.7
I assume you are talking about the wheels but yes, that is a new option. Is the matte black alloy rim for Sasquatch a new option?
It's a true body-on-frame full-capability truck, not a crossover SUV or pricey Range Rover. Emphasis was directed away from power-folding side mirrors and cooled seats to the core elements a Bronco should have.Yeah just got back from my dealer who looked this up in front of me. VERY minimalist update year unfortunately. We still can't even get power side mirrors and cooled seats!? And the march of boring colors continues.
Agreed.I really thought Orange Fury would make it's may in the line-up. Surprise to see a four-door Stroppe given that the 2 doors are remaining on the lots.
Oxford white on the Heritage with the white pin-stripe? Hmm....
Ford desperately needs to bring back the former Bronco brand manager Matt Winter (he was shifted to global off-road).It’s funny, one of my local dealers has had 9 Stroppe sitting on the lot since May or so. Ford must think they’re not selling because they are two doors vs the ugly color scheme![]()
You're 1,000 percent correct. The Stroppe needed an additional performance upgrade, e.g. 3.0 in place of the 2.7
Because the current Bronco brand manager, Jason Hyde, does not understand Bronco as the former Bronco brand manager Matt Winter did. Ford has to choose the right people for the position. The people who have/will buy the Stroppe appreciate the history of Bill Stroppe and his legacy of Baja Bronco racing. I would think those people, myself included, would be attracted to the 2dr vs a 4dr. I think the Stroppe market is already saturated. I can’t for the life of me, figure out who they think will buy the 4dr. And the general population can’t understand the color scheme.
Agreed - honestly.....I see a ton of Broncos (mostly tourists) but 90% are 4 door and either Cactus Gray, White, or some shade gray. If I had to pick a color now it would be VB, my favorite is Cyber Orange, but I didn't get built in time to get that color. You only see what you drive.
All the other 50 shades of Gray just blend together. Only the cool kids can drive an EG 2DR.![]()
Yeah, this is one thing with Ford I value, same with Jeep. I can build what I want for the most part and not have unnecessary crap added on. That's a huge problem with looking at a Tacoma, you can't find a manual TRD Off Road without $3k of extra crap like mats, charging cables, and screen protectors.Honestly I wonder if it would be better at this point to just sell a "Custom" trim where you can configure a-la carte factory order like the old days. They just keep cutting options, colors, and configurations that the true bronco fans appreciate but the bean counters probably nix on sales volume or some other excuse. Manual, 2-door, any interesting color, are all probably on the chopping block sooner or later at this rate![]()
