I don’t know why everybody’s so picky about this, since the doors are removable. If you want two door just take a four-door and remove two of the doors and you’ll be driving a two-door.!

I feel that the Stroppe Edition is almost lip service to heritage. They will barely make any of them and the price is exorbitant.
Which is why Ford should just aim for a limited Stroppe run of 1,966 units.
Granted, the Stroppe package is a FAR better idea than the freewheeling appearance package (a blatant waste of time, money and energy). However, being a retro Baja race truck, a high output engine should obviously be an option.

All that said, with some sales marketing, Ford would sell FAR more 2-dr HE's, Everglades and Wildtraks than it will ever build Stroppe and Freewheeling models. And volume yields higher brand profitability.

The Freewheeling appearance package is alike the old General Motors thought process: We don't build what the customers want, rather the customers will buy what we choose to build.

The same could be said about the MT vs AT take rate.

4D and AT is going to dominate because that what the kids are comfortable driving. It's an Automotive Safe Space in 3 or 4 Shades of Gray

Same thing with the dang Ranger.

Crew Cab Only

No Standard Cab or Supercrew for North America in the near future

This is what you get when you raise your kids on low expectations, emotion feels, participation trophies and allowing their imaginations to be fed too much VR and not enough real life adventures because we were too occupied with work.

We, the Boomers and Gen-X, screwed up the Millennials and this is the Hell that we earned for ourselves.
Yes! And we are waggling our canes at the rest of you.

I tried to read all 17 pages, but I may have skimmed over a few things. Let me know if I missed something. I think I got all the important stuff...

1.) Ford doesn't like building and selling 2-doors.
2.) 2-door purists get emotional.
3.) 4-door owners get defensive.
(Or do I have #2 and #3 backwards?)
4.) People wrongly think 70-year-old parents are old.
5.) Someone mistakenly thinks a 3-hour drive is long.
6.) 2-door threads always include manual comments.
And...
7.) When you run out of arguments, post dog pictures.

Welcome to the world of sales lots full of white, black, and gray CUVs and SUVs--and three year leases of such.

I planned on buying a 2025 2 Dr Bad Lands loaded out with a V6. They did me a favor by limiting my choices forced me to look at 2024. Bought a 2 Dr BL off a lot 6k under invoice. No regrets.
At 6 ft 6 and the four door is not a comfortable choice. I like the big front door of a 2 door. I also like the body lines of the 2 door better. I think it would be a huge mistake for Ford to not keep the 2 door but I have seen the effect of economy of scale my entire adult life. Most retake stores don’t sell tall size cloths. The $$ isn’t there.

My first Ford. And If Ford built a decent 2 door regular cab w/ a 6.5 ft bed I'd still be driving one. Column shift. My Grandfather found it and because he drove column shifts I got one.

Indeed! I learned to drive with Dad's 1967 Ford Ranger, "three-on-the-tree". 2-door, of course, because 4-door trucks were quite rare then. It's like sticking with one woman and the same good friends as the years go by; it's important to us. It's close to home.

Dad would like my new Bronco. The Velocity Blue isn't far off from the color of that old Ford pickup.

My wife's first car was a blue 1970 Maverick. Three-on-the-tree. I like a woman that can drive a manual transmission.

I guess the 4 door Heritage is a bit of a contradiction or paradox to what we deem the Heritage supposed to be. Still like my 4 door heritage, I think it looks cool and fun to drive.

When I had Jeeps a lot of 2 door vs 4 door arguments. Have had both, like the 2 door better, just sometimes need the extra space.

The Stroppe looks great, I would be considering it if they included the 3.0 engine instead for the 70+k price point. I might as well keep what I have if they just included the the 2.7 which I already have.
