2025 Bronco Badlands Build - looking for advice

After more than 30 years as a loyal Jeep owner (yes, I’ve waved at more strangers than I care to admit), my eyes began to wander. And in April, I finally gave in to temptation and placed an order for my first Bronco. No regrets—just excitement and a few late-night rabbit holes on this forum.

Here’s what’s incoming:

2025 Bronco Badlands

• 2-Door
• Manual Transmission
• Sasquatch Package
• HOSS 3.0

This will be my third vehicle—a fun runabout for errands, weekend getaways, and some mild off-roading (read: I’m not trying to reenact King of the Hammers, just want to keep things spicy).

Once it lands, I’m heading straight to Dallas Off-Road for the following setup:

• WHEELS: Method 305 NV (17x8.5, +0mm)
• TIRES: Nitto Trail Grappler 37x12.50xR17
• TAILGATE: RC Tailgate Reinforcement
• LIGHTS: Rigid Modular Bumper Triple SR-M Fog Light Kit
• CLEARANCE: JKS Max Tire Clearance Kit
• LIFT: RPG Offroad Billet Perch Collars (1.5" Front / 1.5" Rear)
• REAR BUMPER: ADD Bomber with rear lights
• REGEAR: 5.13

Would love to hear your thoughts—recommendations, warnings, wisdom, or even a gentle rebuke from those more seasoned in the Bronco life. Fire away—I’ve got thick skin (hardened by years of Jeep jokes about oil leaks and death wobble).

Only advice I would have is to drive it for a few months before doing anything. Not sure what 5:13's will get you over the SAS 4:7's?

That’s a good start, would have fun with that, also be sure to go to off roadeo, you’ll learn a lot there, talk to people. Keep scouring our forum and internet in general. I believe there is a thread about “stuff I wasted my money on”, a good heads up too.

To piggyback on the above about forum search: the search functions on many forums aren't always that useful compared to Google.

So I often use Google and prefix my search terms with site:bronco6g.com

EG: "site:bronco6g.com tips for new owners"

This will make Google only return results from the specified website.

I second the Off-Roadeo, Even if you are a seasoned off roader you will learn something about your Bronco and how to use a function and when. I also think use it till you need to upgrade figure out what you will need. going on 2.5 years with a Bone stock Everglades, started out just wanting to do mild off roading, but we have done some really spicy stuff in Merus, Moab and Katemcy, never needed more than stock.

I joined about 22 months ago, when I was facing severe health problems and upcoming heart surgery to be followed by a big move. Then, they put a hold on the 7MT for quite a while. Meanwhile, prices on used Broncos were still unreasonable (post-COVID supply-demand hangover).

So, I delayed my Bronco purchase for a long time but I still came here every day to read. I've learned a lot by reading about other people's experiences and recommendations. During those months I've saved a lot of info from here for use when my Bronco finally comes in, now just a week or two away.

By all means search, but also read stuff that comes up here because you'll learn a lot of things you wouldn't have thought to search for.
