The update was to fix the black reverse screen. Working wonderfully as you can see.

Ford: the above is sarcasm.

So now I can hardly connect my phone, the reverse camera, which never ONCE had a problem before, does goofy stuff every other time its turned on, my wife can't connect her phone... can we undo this fix?

This is what happens when you mass push a software update that fixes a problem that not everyone has.

The forced updates on ALL devices now are haphazard at best. My laptop bit the dust due to a botched update. HP is known for it. The tons of electronics are the concern now on new vehicles unfortunately. Im going to check and see if my 24 BL is jacked. This sucks.

Went in 7/1/2026 for recall on the front seat bolts + was told they would also do some software updates that I thought were taken care of OTA. After a 5 hour wait at Dealer as they said there were problems between Dealer + Ford on the updates -was on my way home.Turned on my Sirius Radio + my steering wheel preset buttons were all F***ed Up.Have spent hours trying to get them all back.Ford just keeps F***ing things up that were working fine.

I am getting conflicting notices between the Ford App and Ford.com regarding the infotainment screen software update for my ‘24 Badlands.

I was notified by the Ford App on my phone a month or so ago that a OTA software fix for the blank infotainment screen issue was available. (By the way my screen never had a problem.)

I turned on automatic software updates via the Ford App, triggered the update in the vehicle, the update was successfully installed in a few minute, and saw an update successful notice on the infotainment screen. The App also notifies me that the install was successful. “We have updated your APIM2 to correct this condition. This completes Safety Recall 26S209. No further action is required.”

And yet, when I call up my Vehicle at Ford.com, it says the Infotainment Screen Blank: Recall Incomplete and to either visit the dealer or run the OTA update myself.

I thought that the Ford.com website was more current and authoritative than the Ford App on my phone. What gives? is the blank entertainment screen fix installed on my Badlands or not?
