Not really sure what's happening/happened to my order so I figured I'd post here.

I ordered a '23 Big Bend on March 27, 2023 and the salesman called in late August and left me a message saying my order was bumped to 2024, and that since I ordered a 2023 Big Bend a 2.7L I had to modify my order because that engine isn't being offered in the '24 Big Bend. I asked about any sort of price protection and the salesman said no price protection or rebates. To get signature lighting, the 2.7L, and an all gray/black interior I'd have to go up to a Badlands.

I called Ford customer service because I do not trust salespeople at all... Ford Customer Service told me my order was canceled and that I have an order showing in their system as 'unscheduled clean' and one order showing as 'canceled'. I also have two MY2023 private transition offers, at $2,595 and $1,995. I never placed an order with a dealer but I do remember registering with Ford for more info about Broncos as soon as it was possible – this is the only thing I can think of that would even be even remotely related to me getting a transition offer. Ford Customer Service also could not tell me who canceled my order.

The salesman told me the order is being 'pushed to 2024' and Ford Customer Service says the order was canceled at the end of August but also shows I have an order as 'unscheduled clean' in their system.

I'm not sure what the hell is going on with my order but I get the feeling the dealer just wants me to walk away from this to free up their allocation for someone buying a more expensive model.

Any advice?

Yep, sure sounds like dealer is trying to pull a fast one. I suspect the "unscheduled clean" order is for a Badlands?

Okay so the $1995 certificate is related to a 2022 Big Bend order, and $2595 is related to an 2022 Outer Banks order. I can't explain why you have them, because you should not have them, but that's what they're for. But if you previously expressed interest in a 2022 Bronco that could explain it.

Did they say what the Unscheduled Clean order was for?? Unscheduled Clean means it's awaiting to be scheduled.

I'm fairly certain the Unscheduled clean order was for a '23 Big Bend as well. The salesman told me that to get the 2.7L I would have to move up to the Outer Banks (this was before I told him I didn't like the interior color options) – this is the only thing I can think of tied to my name that would involve an Outer Banks model.

Another Big Bend if I remember right.

I think I'm going to email the salesman and ask if I can modify my order (remove the hardtop) in order to get it scheduled for production. Since I have at least one order showing as 'unscheduled clean' maybe they can modify that?

Sounds like its gonna be an uphill battle. Due to the new constraints/changes for the 24 and being the order was cancelled you likely are stuck. Best of luck however

Being "unscheduled clean" you shouldn't have to modify anything..."unscheduled clean" means there are no constraints and it's ready to be scheduled. Like you say, it sounds like they want you to walk away.

Confirmed today with Ford Customer Service my order is not canceled, but that some customers 'have received a request to convert their order to a 2024'...

I think I heard that 23MY production is being extended through November and possibly December. I saw on a reddit post that someone's order was scheduled for mid October. My dealer told me that when the 24MY order banks opened that Ford would tell them how much allocation they have left for the remaining unscheduled orders for 23MY. It may be an allocation issue for your order. But imo it sounds like the dealer is being shady. Unless you have a lot of constraints, the big bend trim USOB is under the factory's capacity so it should get scheduled.

Didn't realize I was going to need my tinfoil hat when I wandered into this thread...

Best thing to do is call up your dealer and have a conversation with them. It could be as simple as they are out of allocations for a constraint on your build, or you are way down their list, so they are actively bumping you to a MY24. To many variables to assume you should get scheduled for a MY23 and/or to assume your dealer is being shady based on them wanting you to order a MY24.

I have dual tops, and I saw before that the Big Bend wheels were a constraint at one point.

I have spoken to the dealer, they're evasive and are telling me something different from Ford corporate.

You don't have to mention the dealer's name but do a search here to see if others had trouble with them. I can remember some crazy stories about NJ dealers and games they were playing a while back. See if yours was one of them. If so, you might be wise to go elsewhere to order the 2024.
