I haven’t personally but maybe my car cleaner guy is? Good thinking. Would need to do research on what chemicals to avoid.

Not just cleaners. But lotion on your hands might be the culprit.

Yes, to both. I would hazard to guess that there are other touch surfaces that are showing excess wear such as the window controls. OP location indicates Ft. Lauderdale so they are likely to use lotion including sun block much more frequently than someone living up north.

First time I noticed marks on the gray part of the steering wheel where my wedding ring rests, I freaked out. 70k miles later and I love those marks on the wheel. One day when I’m gone, those marks will still be there and my son will likely be glad I didn’t replace it.

I make her wear a long sleeved shirt now.
