Hear that.....almost identical situation for me(But a WT). It's wife's rig and DD....she hates to four wheel, but it will see some trails on camping and fishing trips.
Yep! She won’t enjoy off roading if it’s wild and bumpy. But some trails and stuff will be fun. I have some places in Colorado I know I want to visit now that I can get there. Places I’ve been with friends.

I know I am in the minority here but I plan to run 20-22" wheels and 34" tires on my Badlands. It will probably never see anything more off road than my driveway and the 2-3" of snow we get every few years. That's the look I like so damn it I am getting them.... I know I can't be the only one. For the other outcast like myself...what wheels and tires are you considering?
Bronco Engineer here...👀...I'm planning on running 35s on 20s. I can't wait to see all the mods from small rims big tires to big rims low pros. Do you and enjoy your Bronco!

Great question. I plan on trying these Falken Wildpeak’s on 20’s on my Wiltdtrak. From what I have read, the tires should peak 10cms compared to the regular 18 inch rims so my hope is they look OK. They aren’t fancy but I like them and the F150 is a lease so I am keeping them anyway. We’ll seen

You can get a great look with 18’s on

35’s.
This. 18’s can still look really good. Anything bigger just looks silly IMO but then again I am the local angry eye enthusiast 😂

I have seen some jeeps with this look and it was not bad. But I am all in for off roading.

As to the suggestions for getting a different trim, I think every Bronco should be a badlands. In a few years people will be buying broncos for a project truck and will be unable to find a badlands with all the outerbanks for sale. Like it is hard to find a good used TRD or Pro4x right now. Out of 100 pickups listed for sale one will be the offroad package and it will be beat up with some aftermarket lift you cant get parts for anymore.

20's don't looks so big once you stuff them full of brakes ;). That and having true 35's (35.4 to be exact). 20's have their place, do you and be happy.

17's for 33's, 17's or 18's for 35's for off-road fun. You want that sidewall flex with low air pressure to get max grip, even in the mud. That's why the sidewalls on modern off-road tires have tread. Max that contact! Plus, the less clearance between the wheel and the earth, the greater the chance you have of damaging the wheel.

Well, what should you do? Have two sets of wheels and tires! Dedicated off-road set with aggressive tread for the weekend? Dedicated highway tires for the commute? Absolutely! Plus, if you send it and break a wheel on Sunday, you can still drive the Bronco to work on the commuter set.

That is what is referred to as "opinionated decorating".
