There is a thread somewhere here where a member created a shim that can be inserted into the spring to increase the tension and the lid will stay up on most hills. He even offered up the 3D printer file that you can have it made and install yourself. It works like a charm!!!!

I have a 23 2dr. I bought one that looks very similar to the ones in the screenshot above (they're probably all from the same factory). Note that moving the trays is a bit of a bitch.

I drilled a couple holes in mine and threaded a short piece of Paracord that gives me a handle to lift out the tray.
