Congratulations and no hate directed at you. But that highlights how F'd up this process is. A loaded 2-dr OBX with no reservation gets an early build date for MY'22.

Make you think whats stopping someone from putting in a bunch orders at multiple dealships, like ten, and just taking whichever one comes in first. Honestly we really didn't "reserve" anything. Just numbers of projected sales.

There is no limit to placing orders direct with dealers without reservation. You could place as many that you are willing to coordinate and track. Most dealers with the lower name match threshold don't care if you follow through with the purchase as they will sell it within hours of it's arrival. Because of the high demand, many won't require any deposit to order.

The reservation timestamp is only relevant with respect to other orders at a dealer. For the large dealerships, they will have more allocation than orders.

Received VIN on 9/30. Window sticker on 11/17. Build date was originally 11/24 and actual was 12/01. Delay email from Ford received 12/14. Don't know when it's coming. At this point, I'd rather take possession in early January to save on Missouri taxes.

I received my 7/14 2:30am Badlands manual high reservation on 12/8.

I’m thinking about ordering another 2 door base manual with minimal options. I have a second reservation I made on 8/4/2021 and my local dealer is sitting on 150 orders, so I‘m thinking that might be a multi year wait at this point.

8/2/20 reservation. 2 door Badlands, Sas, 2.7, high package and removed tow this week. No build date. That said, the majority who have posted on this thread have either received theirs or are scheduled so that should give us non-scheduled people a little hope.

I ordered in July 2021 . working for tier 1 suppliers for years i wanted a 2nd year so they had a chance to work out the bugs. Converted in Oct. to 2022. Talked to my dealer this morning and he stated I will probably be converting in the spring to a MY23

I only made a 2-door reservation last summer after having test driven and decided what I wanted. When the allocation thing blew up with the dealer, I didn't bother making another order. If Ford can't deliver I'm not messing with them. I take solace in having fun next summer with my other open top 4x4s and my Ford stock price (which will likely get sold to buy some other vehicle down the road).

I installed a 40 inch curved Rigid off of my roof rack. I made my bracket use 1/4" flat bar and mounted to the top of the roof rack. Had to buy a longer bolt 2 each. I did not use the stock wiring very small compared to the size of the wire that came with the light bar, this was the most work running the new wire. Drilled a hole under the roof rack mounting point for the wiring, sealed it with silicon. The nice thing is the roof right were the wire comes out has a notch in the weather stripping for the wire to lay and not deform the weather stripping.
