Tried to send (another) email to the guy in charge of the Bronco orders at my dealership that hasn't responded to the email I sent a couple weeks back. Nothing big, just asked if he could tell me how many orders were in front of mine and how many are they allocated monthly. Didn't expect an answer, but I did get an email back - a bounce message because he no longer works there.

I confirmed with the sales manager, who tried his best to find out but I think he ended up calling the same number we're all told to call. When he called back, he said that right now the 2-door model is the biggest constraint - of the entire Bronco production right now, only 15% are the 2-door. Mind you, I do have the Sasquatch and Lux packages too, so it's not the only constraint, but it's the biggest one right now. I'm gonna stick it out and wait for it (been waiting 543 days already), but if anyone out there with a 2-door order is willing to change, you might get it sooner.
You da man! Can't even imagine owning a 4-door. It's just not right. That being said, it seems they are better at crawling the large ones (from Youtubers, ennyhoo). Way more storage and maybe you couild sleep in it if it wasn't full of your stuff.

Still not livin' the dream with 4 doors though. I came back through Texas from Cali, and folk had never seen a two door and noted that's the only one they'd consider.

I’ll just say this. My dealer has 13 retail orders none of which are apparently buildable units. He has 5 allocations for broncos the period so ford allocated him 5 stock units. All OBX’s with engines and packages all over the place. He changed two to black diamonds and tweaked the other three. So not sure where you are getting your information. I got my information from experience and seeing it with my own eyes in the ordering system plus talking to the owner who does the ordering do I would say that’s pretty accurate. At the end of the day it is coming down to allocations per dealer now and having parts for what orders the can build. I know when I ordered mine in 2021 I didn’t have the 2.7 or sas. But ended up adding that and dropping the mic and it got picked up in less than two weeks.
I cannot speak for your dealer, but I can point to at least two other dealers who have publicly communicated that their most recent allocation increased. Granger’s latest allocation increased from ~10/month in early 22MY to over 50 in the latest allocation (likely a 2-month figure), and Leonardtown‘s allocation just increased to 9, it’s highest figure to date. I also know of other dealers who recently received increased allocation, but that information was communicated to me in confidence, so I am not free to divulge their names.

Obviously allocation always trumps commodities, but commodities also always trump dirty orders. Ford is never going to shut down the production line to wait for unscheduled/clean orders from specific dealers with available allocation, but whose customers are unwilling to drop constrained commodities from their build specs. Therefore, the factory will continue to build dealer stock as a buffer in the production line. But with no new orders allowed in 22MY and increased allocations to dealerships, there is a high likelihood that the backlog of special orders with a price protection guarantee will decrease faster than before.

I ordered a Bronco for several reasons, one was nostalgic. My dad had a 1972 and a 1974, and we loved them. I was a kid, and remember having to fold the passenger seat to climb in the back, kind of a pain multiple times per day. I therefore ordered a 4 door. More practical and I do like the look of the 4 door. My dad, however, ordered the 2 door. Mine is in transit and he has no indication when his will be built. Hopefully soon.

Hi there, I also have a 2-door order placed (Big Bend), no lux, tow or Sasquatch included. The recommendation from dealership has been to switch to a 4-door to be able to drop the hardtop, hoping to get the vehicle in 6-8 months. But I do really want a 2-door, so waiting as well.

I'd be curious to see how much that has changed since many 2D folks jumped ship to a 4D to speed up the process.
Whenever constraints started popping up and 2 door was at the top of the list, I said there's no way were switching to a Mordor! I'm so glad we didn't. Many times now when people see the 2 door for the first time, it goes something like this..."I have seen a few 4 doors, but damn, this looks way better. This is what a Bronco is supposed to look like!

I stuck to my guns with a 2-door order (day 1) and was one of the lucky few to get it last year. I like the look and maneuverability better. 99% of the time the back seats stay folded but it's nice to be able to handle a 3rd or 4th passenger if needed.

And of course, the next post I end up looking at is someone whose signature mirrors mine, except they have a 2.7 and didn't reserve - ordered in December 2021 and has a build date. I'm happy for him but wondering if Ford is ever going to build mine.

And when I say mirrors, same color, model, everything else.
maybe you should check to see where you fall in your dealer allocation, if they even have any left for there model year(s)

that’s what it’s sounding like I’ve had my 2 door sas, 2.7, mid mind you since 10/01/21. Day 1 res within the first hour. But something to check on

Not judging and glad you have your Bronco but if you got your 2 door last year, you didn’t have to stick to your guns for very long.

I love her. When choosing between the 2DR and 4DR, it was a no-brainer for me (granted I do not have kids), but I'm a purist. I wanted that original 2-door look. It was worth the wait.

The 2 door is something I wasn't going to budge on no matter how long the wait was.
I will not budge either. My 2021 amb blk dmnd 2 door is produced but still not here. I definitely stuck it out
