2-door is huge constraint

Tried to send (another) email to the guy in charge of the Bronco orders at my dealership that hasn't responded to the email I sent a couple weeks back. Nothing big, just asked if he could tell me how many orders were in front of mine and how many are they allocated monthly. Didn't expect an answer, but I did get an email back - a bounce message because he no longer works there.

I confirmed with the sales manager, who tried his best to find out but I think he ended up calling the same number we're all told to call. When he called back, he said that right now the 2-door model is the biggest constraint - of the entire Bronco production right now, only 15% are the 2-door. Mind you, I do have the Sasquatch and Lux packages too, so it's not the only constraint, but it's the biggest one right now. I'm gonna stick it out and wait for it (been waiting 543 days already), but if anyone out there with a 2-door order is willing to change, you might get it sooner.

I don't see it as a constraint, just a ford choice to choose profit over customer service.
Is not that ford can't get the parts

If anything like the Wrangler, only about 10% of those sold are 2 doors. Seems like they are catering to the masses right now over the 2 door.

I've seen different 2-door Broncos on a local dealership's lot every Saturday when I drive past. They seem to be more prevalent around here lately.

Last weekend, it was a Hot Pepper Red, the weekend before Eruption Green, and the weekend before Area 51.

Is the constraint 15% of all Broncos or 15% of 2 Door Broncos? Also, what is the % of 2 door vs 4 door orders?

And of course, the next post I end up looking at is someone whose signature mirrors mine, except they have a 2.7 and didn't reserve - ordered in December 2021 and has a build date. I'm happy for him but wondering if Ford is ever going to build mine.

And when I say mirrors, same color, model, everything else.

When I took delivery of my 2D BL a month ago, the sales rep commented how we were fortunate to get our order and then showed me a Ford email stating the 2D models would be at a 17% build rate. 17 out of every 100 on order is bleak.

Does it seem like they are building 2drs in batches? My build week seemed to have a good bit of 2drs in it including mine.

The 2 door is something I wasn't going to budge on no matter how long the wait was.

I think the biggest constraint these days is an early reservation at small or mid sized dealer.

I'd be curious to see how much that has changed since many 2D folks jumped ship to a 4D to speed up the process.

Of the 60 some-odd members in the current build week around 1/3 are two doors. Ford builds 2 doors when it can when they come up with the combinations that get Broncos built. Everything else is “my dealer said…”
