before I threw lots of cash at a new tranny I'd certainly get another opinion.

Definitely, im gonna check all fuses, fuel pump, lines and everything else before I actually replace the whole thing

Exactly, we tried to look for some codes but there was absolutely none. Is the dealer trying to rip me off? Are they actually correct? I don’t know

If there are no codes how do they know the trans got overheated? Did they pull an oil sample or something and show you the results?

Not really, they just told me it’s definitely a transmission problem. Taking the car tomorrow to a guy that specializes on these kind of stuff to let him examine it, 10r80s aren’t cheap

Hello everyone, I recently inspected the fuel pressure and found it was low (around 2000 psi), so I replaced the fuel pump. After the replacement, the fuel pressure has increased to around 14,000 psi, which seems to be within the normal range. However, the car is still bogging down, and now I’m experiencing new issues like stalling when going over speed bumps and even shutting off while driving.

I’m really puzzled as to what could be causing these problems. Could it be something else in the fuel system, like a clogged fuel filter, a faulty fuel pressure regulator, or a bad fuel injector? Or might it be unrelated to the fuel system entirely, such as an electrical issue, a failing sensor (like the crankshaft or camshaft position sensor), or even a vacuum leak?

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any ideas on what I should check next, I’d really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd stop throwing money at it and bring it to a different shop, not the one that said you need a new tranny. 14000 PSI is ridiculous for a gasoline motor. That's diesel territory. I believe 2000 is on the high end of spec, but I don't have service specs yet on the bronco (just got mine 2 month ago).

I think that fuel pump PSI is off too. That seems exceedingly high.

Are you sure about that? 2000 psi is not abnormal at all depending on input.
14,000 psi is extremely abnormal, and realistically not possible.
Maybe you meant kpa?

So it used to only bog down when I give it a little throttle when driving but after replacing the fuel pump it started running way worse now, car keeps shutting off, engine light came on and it definitely bogs when I’m stationary.
