I work on my car a lot, no sweat.

After looking at the 2.7L Engine layout, it triggers my OCD anxiety, I'm like...

So here it is - I purchased a new new F-150 cover and two studs to mount it.. The holes in the cover line up perfectly with the tapped holes in the manifold for the studs. The cover itself fits but did require me to trim away some of the plastic on each side to clear the turbo plumbing and wiring on the Bronco. It is currently mounted with just two studs but there is what appears to be some type of clip needed for the center in the rear - I'll have to research that a bit more. I mounted a cheap Bronco emblem on the front of the cover that I found on FB. I might remove the cover and paint it to make it look a bit better. Total cost for everything was about $65. took about 45 mins to trim and mount it.

I don't understand why anyone would want that dumb cheap piece of plastic sitting there doing nothing.
It actually helps keep the engine clean and easier to clean when needed .

Using Sheehy Ford or CARiD both came to 120 ish with cover, two studs, and two nuts (that has shipping and tax to me included)

@jvece121 if you figure out the back let us know.

Motors are to be heard not seen keep your bonnet closed.
ok. :). As far as the Bronco goes I can go either way on it. I think it looks better with it but I'm not getting it to open the hood either.

I'd be most concerned with that lid holding heat in. Heat is the enemy.

Did the same with my 2.3. got the ranger cover off ebay, screwed in two of the studs and locked it down. Perfect fit. cleaned the engine bay up a bit, didn't notice any change in sound.

can help muffle the ticking from direct injectors that most people find annoying.
Just wait until you hear the cam phaser rattle..
