Hello everyone!
I’m trouble shooting why my bronco has a 1” rear sag in the rear and looking for some help. Here are the details!
- 2”/1” Hyperco Springs front/rear
- Thought it may be the shock, had them rebuilt, no dice
- With 163lbs of gear in the back I was almost exactly 1” lower in the back (measured floor to top of fender, and tire to top of fender)
- With everything out aside from ~30lbs in the rear I’m still 3/4” lower in the rear

Is there anything aside from the springs that would cause this?

So you installed springs that are designed to lift the front 2" and the rear 1", and you ended up with the rear end 1" lower?
It comes with a 1” rake from the factory. This is meant to level the Bronco

Just tossing out ideas.
Are your tires heavier than the factory, also how much heavier is that aluminum roof. Maybe your springs just are not rated for the extra weight you already have on the rear.

I like the thought process, mine was similar. The tire/wheel is 10lbs heavier, the hardtop is about 20lbs heavier. Even if I conservatively say 50lbs the springs shouldn’t sit a full 1” lower

Well 50lbs should not squat that much, I agree with that.
I presume no squat issue before the hyperco springs, so that would have me feeling those springs are the issue.

Sounds like you need to run 50 to 100lbs more spring in the rear. Most springs are for lift and never take in account for heavier gear and roof. I assume you enjoy a good jump and desert run as well which will tax the springs

Agree - you probably need a stiffer spring or tophat pucks to slide in there.

Doesn’t the live valve have some sort of ride height calibration you have to do as well? Maybe that too

The reason for factory rake is to account for the weight of cargo added to the cargo bay. You “leveled” for an empty cargo bay. Now that you have added cargo, you have encountered sag. Not surprising. 🤷‍♂️

Winch on the front might be a plus. If you don’t have one 🤔

I could weigh down the front to level it forward. But I think it’s a spring issue at this point so that wouldn’t really solve the issue
