Mine locked up when I tried to reset the time after I had the truck in for the seat bolt recall. Never had a problem before and was really ticked. I tried to cycle the key and do the radio button soft reset but no luck. Fortunately Synch4 booted after I disconnected/reconnected the battery.

I put those in the trunk door of a 67 Mustang fastback I had back in the day. Spent a couple week's of my pump jockey pay to buy a set from Sears for $39.95. Crutchfield still sells them for about ninety bucks-I wonder if they're as great as I remember them?

Yup. The manufacturers only recently started doing that . In the old days you had to drill a low point drainage hole yourself. Actually had a mechanic fail me once for that as a "leak in the exhaust."

Thank you for letting me know. I prefer all around sound, so increasing the output from the back is key. Not too fond of the oversized aftermarket pods though, and am going to try to stuff some 5.25's in the factory pods.

For a project. I don't care if have speakers.

It's been awhile since you made this post. Did you happen to do a follow up on the install?

Long shot but do you still have these? What kind of pods are they?

Thank you for the suggestion. I need more sound coming from the back for an all around sound (the reason for the 6.5inch pod speakers). The stock 6.5's are not the best, but they are free and would should if I am moving in the right direction. I can always swap them out for something better.

I used a piece of black poster board to cover mine. Made it slightly larger than the screen so the trim plat keeps it in place.
