  1. “Plastic” Interior

Just give me something as nice as an F150. I'm not looking for a Bentley.
  2. “Plastic” Interior

You don't know. Certainly some people have been put off enough by the cheap interior that they simply moved on. $60k and no rear air vents!!. Insane. Again, this is not something you find only in luxury cars. A lot of the stuff that some of us wish was better is available or standard in the...
  3. “Plastic” Interior

You seem to forget that ALL of these vehicles, will spend the majority of their time on the road. In my case, the off roading will be in NH. I live in MA. It will also be used as a ski vehicle. Like I said, even Jeep gets it with their Wrangler, where a well optioned Wrangler is a nice place...
  4. “Plastic” Interior

You clearly don't get it. Rather than charging me 55k for it it the way it is. Charge me 58k and get rid of all the shitty plastic.
  5. “Plastic” Interior

I'm guessing that's a joke. I'm so far from a snowflake its laughable. As for entitled. If I'm paying for it, I'm not entitled. Ha. As far as a G wagon. Hah. I'm not interested in an "off-roader" with 40 series 21 inch tires. And besides, I would never spend that much for a car that...
  6. “Plastic” Interior

Cars for the last 40 years have had largely plastic interiors. Whats changed in the last 20 is the the plastic isn't so . . . plasticy. Most cars have what the industry calls "soft touch" plastic. Its flat or matte and is soft to the touch. It looks and feels much nicer than the acres of hard...
  7. “Plastic” Interior

Of course not. I'm still getting it. No car is perfect. But I'd expect more. If you get a leather interior in a jeep a lot of the normal plastic parts arecovered in leather. There is at least an upgrade path. Having sat in and touched the MGV, I'm not impressed. If all I cared about was...
  8. Any Dealer Demos showing up yet?

So now that everyone is done bickering about how things are being done, its been 2 weeks since this thread was started. Has anyone seen one at a local ford dealer? I just went by the one in Woburn, MA. Nothing yet.
  9. “Plastic” Interior

Its nasty hard shiny plastic. My 14 year old Volvo has nice soft touch plastic that looks and feels expensive. Even though the Volvo did (and still does) cost less than the bronco I have reserved. For $60k, they should do better. The irony is that the Bronco Sport's interior is better in...
  10. Age and Reason for 2door and 4door buyers

53 4 door. Kids love to do stuff with me and I love to do stuff with them. So I do anything I can to include them. Skiing, Hiking, climbing. Wife like the idea of an open car with the shade of keeping the roof on.
  11. Who wants 40s? THE OFFICIAL 40 INCH TIRE THREAD!!!

Also, when a solid axle suspension compresses, you don't lose ground clearance at the lowest point. On a IFS you do.
  12. 🙌 Bronco OKTB Issued and Shipments Begin as Ford Celebrates Bronco Production at MAP!

Hmm. Ok. Well, it does show off how nice a body colored roof would look. Ha. But then again, I'm colorblind.
  13. Who wants 40s? THE OFFICIAL 40 INCH TIRE THREAD!!!

I think a lot of us are buying the Bronco because it will drive better on road than a Jeep; and in stock form is just as good off road. If you are going to build a rock crawler that requires 40s you are simply better off with the solid axle Jeep.
  14. 🙌 Bronco OKTB Issued and Shipments Begin as Ford Celebrates Bronco Production at MAP!

Did anyone notice this one? it appears to be a base model with body color Sasquatch flares and a BODY COLOR hardtop. Hmm. Or maybe an outer banks Sasquatch with temporary steel wheels on it and body colored hard top? Could it be a '22. I've heard the '22 will offer hard tops in black...
  15. Decisions to Make.... wait or buy alternative?

Prime convertible time is spring and fall anyway. Though the nice thing about a Jeep or Bronco is you can leave the top up and take off all the doors and windows.
  16. Decisions to Make.... wait or buy alternative?

I was thinking of a 2 year lease on a Wrangler 4xe. Then seeing if they come out with a Bronco pickup, which I'd prefer. Because of the almost $10,000 back in federal and state tax incentives, a 2 year lease on a 4xE is practically free.
  17. I would rather have a nonremovable roof.

the Defender is very slick. And a bit bigger. But I tend to keep my cars for 10+ years so I'll never own (or lease) a Land Rover of any kind. Unless they are purchased by Honda or Toyota. Ha.
  18. I would rather have a nonremovable roof.

If you want an off-road capable truck/suv, there are lots of better riding, faster, and less expensive options. The whole point of a Bronco or a Wrangler/Gladiator is that the doors and top come off. And you pay dearly for it.
  19. Things that are overrated...

I'm always astonished at how people drive around with their dash lights up at full brightness. I have always run mine as dim as the car would go. This is actually something I'll check once I can drive one at night. To me its something I have addressed in the past with essentially window tint...
  20. Things that are overrated...

    1) As someone who owns a convertible I can tell you the sun on your head can get old in certain circumstances. To me the ability to remove the doors and leave the top up is a preferable way to go open. 2) A good car entertainment system can SIMPLIFY things. If you are running Apple CarPlay...
