The only difference between the Outer Banks and Wildtrack if you were to load both up the same is the interior color choices and certain bits and pieces that are painted body color on one version and not on the other.
I'm getting a badlands. I'm ok with the non color matched bits. But I want a nice leather interior. I'm pretty confident that Katzkins will have something out for the Bronco soon. I'm sure there is a market for MGV seat covers.
I agree completely. I think that these trucks are more than capable of meeting or exceeding the needs of 95% of its buyers. Stock. But people, myself included, get pleasure from buying more capability than they will ever need.
Lets face it. After looking at some YouTube videos of the...
I agree with everything you said.
But its more than that. A car/truck driving 75 mph the suspension is being moved forcefully very quickly. This puts a lot of energy into the shocks. Energy that needs to be dissipated as heat. Shocks can fade as oil thins. Shocks can lose damping almost...
One thing to remember about shocks. If you are a low speed rock crawler type guy, high end shocks like this are irrelevant.
Driving around on the street puts more stress on shocks than driving around slowly off road does.
Rock crawling requires very little of 1) power 2) brakes 3) shocks...
AZ, I agree.
If I had a 60 mile highway commute and wanted economy, diesel beats hybrid.
But the average commute is something like 25 minutes. If you figure an average speed during rush hour of 30 mph that's 25 miles.
The reality is that a lot oof people could use that thing and do 75% of...
Rusty - EVERYONE is doing it. Ford just did a crappy job of hiding it. Do you think a Lexus, Audi, or BMW or even a diesel F250 or F350 needs a grill that huge? Not a chance.
I agree. At some point the price starts to creep into what a 392 Wrangler costs. From my perspective, this isn't a logical buy for any of us. Its a toy, even if its a daily driver. And the 392 Wrangler is appealing. But too expensive.
This was what I was afraid of. The floor in the Bronco is 29". The outback is 35. I carry my dog in a crate when we hike or hunt. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to carry the crate lengthwise in the bronco.
So I'll have to borrow my wife's Volvo wagon to go hunting with the dog.
The less actual grill opening a vehicle has, the better its aerodynamics. But styling trends are towards big openings. So we are seeing more "fake" openings.
The Explorer is a perfect example of this.
I stopped changing my own oil when I lost access to the lifts and disposal facilities at the dealership I used to work at.
Though I have to say that the top mount oil filter makes me think about doing it again.
I have used a fumoto valve ( fumotousa.com ) and trust them.
With a fumoto...
Its interesting that you say this. The Jeep's interior seems much nicer than the Bronco's to me other than the display size. Though I haven't seen a bronco in person yet. That huge swath of hard plastic on the bronco passenger side dash looks cheap.
