Your Bronco calculates oil life based on a ton of different factors. It is decently accurate.
You should change oil after one year anyways if that is what you are encountering.
The 3.5 is famous for them.
The 2.7l nano is a completely different engine and they are very uncommon. There were some issues with a small batch of 2.7 engines.
