Seasucker makes a rack with 60" crossbars that works with Bronco roof. The style closely resembles Thule/Yakima setups which is why I bought it. I just did a write up last week (Seasucker Ridge Ready Monkey Bars). They can be spaced any distance along the roof panels and you can still remove...
No shop uses them because they are expensive and hard to come by. I've used them for years and never had a single issue. They gained popularity because of their widespread use in the harsh motorcycle and off-road community. Not sure what evidence you have to support those claims but it certainly...
As somebody who used the roof rack on my last vehicle constantly, I have been a little annoyed at the lack of simple, traditional, crossbar options on the market for the Bronco that also allow easy and complete convertible functionality with the hardtop. After weighing the many options, I...
Sure there's no doubt evs are more efficient but the issue is there is no infrastructure to support reliably going where you might need to go and not having to possibly allot huge amounts of time to finding/waiting to charge. The cart is being put before the horse. The current infrastructure...
Right and it makes no sense (other than I'm sure there is some kind of advantage from a profit perspective with full evs). We have no practical infrastructure for full EV, nobody has time to charge them, the range limits you to staying mostly around town, can't tow, weather affects performance...
Not going to improve enough to where you can pull a trailer two hours down the road or get back the 40% of range you lose in -32° or +95° degree temperatures.
The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in KY would be a good overlanding trip not too far away from you. A stock Badlands should handle it fine maybe throw a farm jack in there to make any potential tire changes off-road a bit easier. Mostly sounds like you need to worry about camping stuff though...
Not sure if you already got around to installing, but if you use positap connectors you don't need to worry about messing anything up with the factory wiring - that is the whole point of them. They simply pierce the wire casing like a needle so if you decide to remove them the wire is left as it...
Having taken delivery of the vehicle, IMO $55k for the level of quality you get (no matter the trim) is just simply too much. Don't get me wrong, I love the thing but I paid just over $40k for my build and honestly probably would be mad if I had spent more after the newness wore off. If you are...
So I finally got my set of Valkyrie Crossbars to install this afternoon. I was extra excited to share this install and review because I know there are many others like myself that want to emulate the Ford fishing concept rack but, unfortunately, there are some issues...
In the pic below I have...
OP, I'm similar to you in that my Bronco serves as a capable daily driver and utility vehicle. I will not off-road it - IMO you are better off putting the 7k toward a beater or side by side if that's what you want to do instead of wrecking your new $40k+ vehicle on the trails. I did not get...
I drive around with it open all the time around town - typically when I need to grab a few pieces of lumber or take the dogs somewhere. I do close it if I need to go out on the freeway though.
I added the Pioneer mini hybrid sub with 6 new Kicker speakers. Bass is much better - not booming but full range is deff there and you get some good punch. I'd compare it to a nice home theater level of bass. Rounds things out. Fits right under the driver seat, is pretty cheap, and runs off an...
35, no kids (yet) - Agree the two door is the classic look and more true to original, but this is my daily driver and the cargo space is much better/more functional in the 4 door. Also love the slide out tailgate option which is only available for 4 door (like many other accessories as well...
Yeah, I have the sound deadening and my initial thought when getting my Bronco was "wow, that is a half-ass effort." I'd be pissed it wasn't added tho - dealership should at least credit you what it would cost to buy it from Ford. I have done no research on the topic, but if somebody makes an...
If you aren't getting it as part of a package seems silly to buy it standalone considering what else you could buy for the price. I guess might be worth it if you live in a place with a lot of heavy snow/ice. For me regular 4hi/lo/rear locker accomplishes more than enough.
I mean looks like they did a good job but $6,700ish with headliner and a wiper? And no removable middle section? Seems like a hard sell but I guess there r plenty who like to light their money on fire here lol
