I've def been enjoying be able to always have a rig ready to go with this truck. The Tacoma is in the garage while I repair/re-tub the firewall since the work I did in 2015 rusted out.

Took the family out after heavy rain. Got stuck once and managed to recover with a heavy foot and some back and forth action. After that I played it safe and walked the deep stuff to make sure the bottom was solid.

I saw 3 trucks on my way to do some light hiking at wells mills. Wasn’t sure where the southern group was going but if it was anything like the roads to forked river mtn shit was deep.

Was trying to feel how tippy I was comfy at with this rig compared to my longer one.
How often are you removing the winch though? Not exactly an easy throw on/throw off setup unless you are doing a hitch mounted cradle.

How is everyone keeping track of how much line is left on the drum? I am thinking maybe electrical tape? Like one piece of tape when there is 2 wraps left, two pieces one there is 1.5 wraps left, and 3 when you are at one wrap left?
This might make me actually install mine. Price is right and lowest profile option I have seen so far.
I currently keep it under my drivers seat and will continue to until I actually get in trouble for it.
