Anyone with enough sense and mechanical knowledge to know that there is no noticeable difference running anything higher than 87 octane fuel in a factory vehicle.
We’ve always been a Ford family and I’ve driven Fords for over 40 years and almost 3,000,000 miles and I’ve never had a single mechanical or electrical issue of any kind on a vehicle that I bought new and broke in and maintained how I normally do it. I take really good care of my things and...
I keep my spare key fobs in a container inside my house, but every Ford vehicle that has a keypad on it I leave the key fob inside it from the day I bring it home and it never leaves the inside of the vehicle. I always did that when I just had a keypad and now that I have the app as a back up...
I hear that all the time and I love my old vehicles and they’re all unrestored and in like new condition but my new vehicles are better in absolutely every single way.
I’ve been running wheels on my F250 for 30+ years that are larger, heavier, and stick out further than Stock and I have never had to do anything to that truck since new. Everything except for the tires, wheels, and 2 inch level is still original from 1994, including the shock absorbers. It...
Owners cause oil consumption by either not breaking a vehicle in gently or running it hard before it’s up to full operating temperature, or not maintaining it early or often enough. Oil changes are practically free insurance against engine damage and oil consumption. I’ve driven Fords for almost...
These things are so “smart” they’re stupid - just like the engineers who designed them. As an engineer, I feel completely comfortable calling engineers stupid.
We have three coyotes in F150s and my son has one that is supercharged that provides great performance but the other two will not keep up with my 2.7. I also have a late model Mustang GT with the coyote and it is fine once you rev it up but low RPM grunt is minimal. Don’t get me wrong, if the...
I have a coyote and a 2.7 in F150s and the 2.7 absolutely destroys the coyote from a performance standpoint, especially when towing. Unless you plan to slap a supercharger on that V8, it will be a disappointment.
I have the 3.0 in an explorer and it is anemic compared to the 2.7 in my two-door bronco. And even though the 2.7 destroys the coyote from a performance standpoint in my F150 trucks, I still would’ve bought one of them just for the V8 sound. More options would’ve been great but auto...
Yeah, I get it. They wanted to make sure they had plenty of wheel protection for rock crawling and I understand that. I just thought it was interesting.
I’m an old dude but in the old days you would never put a 12 inch wide tire on anything narrower than a 10 inch wide wheel. Myold F250 has 12.5 inch tires on a 9.75 inch Weld wheel as an example.
I’m a Ford vehicle guy and I’ve only had my bronco for a couple of years now but all of my other Ford vehicles usually get at least eight years out of the original OEM battery. All my vehicles are parked inside though and that makes a huge difference for everything on keeping a vehicle nice...
