Yes, I have been using premium the last three tanks in preparation for the tune. It concerns me because smooth shifting is a recipe for disaster when it comes to longevity of the transmission. Smooth shifts means the clutches are slipping more so I prefer quick, crisp shifts.

Just to be clear, I have already installed the Ford performance tune. Now I would like to turn on sport mode and tow/haul mode and just want to make sure it’s not going to cause issues since the tune is already installed.

If you wreck your vehicle, you definitely want it to be totaled. If you have an accident show up on Carfax, the value of that vehicle will be seriously downgraded for the rest of its existence.
