See, I have to somewhat disagree about a couple things. The position sensitive shocks with the increased valving rate at both bump and rebound help the go fast stuff more than the slow stuff. It's a simple bypass shock, and bypass shocks are all about the desert and not about rocks and trails...
I get it, more clearance is a good thing, and our Broncos could use more. More clearance includes diffs and shock mounts, which only get higher with larger tires. So, only limited benefit of lifting the truck and not also increasing the tire size. No matter what lift height and tire size...
OK, first question is what tire size you're going to run? Self-squatch seems to imply 35" tires. Sasquatch lift over normal Badlands is only like .5" more, which will handle 35's with a bit less offset in the wheel. Why do you want more lift?
You said mostly daily driver, but want to do a few...
Class rules only allow 3" more wheelbase, and class rules don't allow cutting the sheetmetal to open up the wheel wells. I didn't measure their wheelbase, but if they increased it it wouldn't be by much.
I'm thinking about putting 35's on my non-SAS Badlands, and the SAS pkg only adds a half inch more lift, actually .43" if I remember correctly. I'm considering getting a leveling kit and only using the bottom spacer. I think it's a good idea. Removing the two bottom bolts and dropping the A arm...
The 2 dr Bronco wheelbase is 100.4", virtually the same as a Jeep XJ Cherokee at 101". Jeepspeed and 4600 class Ultra4 race the crap out of XJ's. Sure, longer is better, but 101" isn't bad. The 3 4600 class Broncos that swept the podium at 2022 King of the Hammers were 2dr.
Bear with me here. ;)
Seafoam is amazing, it will do anything that is needed to keep your engine running perfectly. It will make the oil last longer, it will give you better gas mileage, more power, it will clean the intake, clean the valves, make the fuel pump last longer, remove deposits from...
Yes, absolutely. DO NOT DO THAT! You loose all your leverage. The dealership is responsible. They must make it right and they must collect from the other parties. Just deal with the dealership. Go up the line until you get the answer you want.
We don't use FORScan in the shop. I only hear about it on enthusiast forums, but I am going to look into it more.. I'm pretty sure our 11k Snap On tool and the Autel and others will do what FORScan will do. What I'm curious about is the capability of the Ford factory scan tool when we have it at...
I wonder if that is specifically a Ford dealership lockout. I don't have the Ford tool at my shop, but I have friends that do have the Ford tool. Will be interesting to see what capability is there if not a dealership. It's a lockout, the capability is out there or having the choices would be...
Low castor will make the car do what you described. Castor is the angle of a line drawn through the lower and upper ball joints. Positive castor is the degree of angle that the upper ball joint is rearward of the lower ball joint. This angle places a small load on the knuckle/tires that creates...
Yep, I kinda like yellow cars. :) Sorry for all the pics, just backing up my silly point with my yellow stuff. :ROFLMAO:
I do really like my CO Bronco, though.
Yes, with the rear seats up. So, measuring from the pass footwell, across the center console, to the top of the driver side rear seat, 9' is next to the rear speaker.
Good info, thanks. Lowering the roll center relative to the center of gravity will increase the tendency to roll in a corner. But, our head already tells us this as vehicle height rises so will CoG which will affect body roll. I enjoy suspension dynamics, but we don't race much any more. In the...
