  1. who really wanted a hardtop and settled for the soft top?

It definitely wasn't a sure thing, timeframe-wise. I passed on a squatched OBX order that another customer walked away from that had the soft top (since I really wanted a hardtop) and wondered for a while if I had doomed myself to an extremely long wait. This was near the height of the Webasto...
  2. who really wanted a hardtop and settled for the soft top?

I knew it wouldn't be cheap, but seeing that made me quite glad I held out for the MIC top. I'm not a fan of soft tops on any vehicle, and my brief time in two broncos with them didn't change my mind. I do like how easy it is to throw it open on short notice, but having had a hardtop JK in the...
  3. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

That was my understanding as well, but my assigned build week lagged behind my VIN assignment by about three weeks. I was very excited to learn from Ford CS that I had a VIN, but both they and the dealer confirmed at that time that I did not have a production week assigned. Finally found out...
  4. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

Not like it used to be, VINs are definitely distributed without an assigned build week now. While it does usually happen in the vicinity (well, relatively speaking time-wise) of being scheduled, a VIN isn't the definite sign of an assigned build week it perviously was.
  5. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

The tow package comes wired with an interface for a brake controller if you want to install one later, but it does not include a controller
  6. VIN number

Wish it was that way for all of us, amigo. Be a lot fewer people pissed at Ford if they communicated worth a damn not just at random, I'd wager.
  7. VIN number

Just for the record, this is definitely not true in all cases. Ford may never send you another email after your order confirmation. Bunch of us have only found out our VINs and build statuses by checking the tracking links or calling the customer support lines.
  8. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

Build is a Lux Wildtrak, leather, MIC top, no tow or mod bumper. I have not modified my order, although my dealer certainly made it known that ditching the hardtop would very likely expedite delivery. I'll only use a hitch for a bike rack or basket, so I'm fine with slapping a $90 Curt hitch...
  9. đź›  4/4/22 build week group [now with Google doc]

Still showing 4/4/22 on the backdoor link after yesterday's round of scheduling, thankfully. Regular order status page (where you need the VIN and 4 digit order number) remains inop for me.

  11. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

I tried it to verify the info showing in the backdoor link and was told that my order is "in progress" and "is scheduled for the first available build opportunity," and that I needed to ask my dealer for any further detail. They were certainly polite about it, but it was quite a non-answer.
  12. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

Reservation timestamp doesn't count for much anymore, it's going to depend a hell of a lot more on dealership allocations, my July 21 res/Nov 21 WT order through one of the Houston mega-dealerships got a build week 🤷‍♂️
  13. New Rock Sliders - Shrockworks

Glad to see our locals getting in on the Bronco! Can't wait to see what they offer bumper-wise, too.
  14. ⏱ Bronco Scheduling This Week (2/28) For Build Weeks 4/4 Through 5/2

Backdoor tracker has been updating for me 🤷‍♂️ The regular 4 digit order number/VIN tracker page on the other hand has been a potato for a while now.
  15. Cyber Orange Bronco Raptor Spotted for first time

Just can't drive it in direct sunlight then :ROFLMAO:
  16. Aviation Photo and BS thread

Huh, hadn't considered that, I'll give it a shot
  17. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders installed on 2021 Bronco Badlands

My understanding is you won't have to cut a clearance in the splashguards for the D6/DSS like you would the factory step, but you will still have to trim them to match the squatch flares and drill your own mounting holes.
