Hi,
Currently have 8" kicker sub upgrade in the oem enclosure cargo area of my 2door. Rounds out the bass but power corrupts and I want a little more. Researching both the Gearshade 10" kicker box or a downfire sub box with 10" kicker sub. Any thoughts as to which way to go?
Downfire sub box is...
Hello,
2025 Bronco base 2dr. Looking to install a 10" downfire subwoofer in the rear cargo area. Already have amplifier mounted up front so just need to run speaker wire.
1. Any thoughts of best way to run the speaker wire? Was thinking of just running under the side panels to the rear.
2. Are...
Good information. Let us know what you find. My clicking is on the driver seat and seems to get worse the farther back I recline the seat. Not sure what that means though.
Hello. Add me to the unfortunate window leak group. 2025 Bronco base 2dr about 5k miles. Just noticed this after we had significant rains here in SoCal. Both driver and passenger rear hardtop windows. Appears to be leaking somewhere along the top of the window inside and then dripping down onto...
Ok thanks. It looks like everyone has a different order. Looks like Ford manual has the main hook clamp first then the three L latches after that but I guess whatever works to keep the water and noise out!
Thanks for all the replies.
Hello. 2025 Bronco 2dr base. On reinstallation of the driver/passenger front top panels, does it matter if I secure the L-latches first and then the large latch behind the sun visor....or does it really matter what order we reinstall ?
Reason I ask is because I have a very small water leak...
Thanks for all the replies! Yes, I actually loosened all 4 seat bolts and then re-torqued to specs. Unfortunately clicking noise is still there. Looked underneath the seat bottom and couldn't see anything obvious. Tried putting seat into different positions but the sound remains.
Hello,
2025 Bronco 2door base. The driver seat started to make a slight clicking sound when I shift my butt on the seat or when my weight shifts on the seat like going around tight turns. Not too loud right now but noticeable if radio off. Didn't notice it when new and now has about 3200 miles...
Great thanks for the additional suggestions! Yes speed comp option is currently off. Tried gain reduction on dash channels output but that just made vocals fade into background and dull if that makes any sense. Will try 5-7db cut in the 1.5-2.5khz range.
Great thank you. Yeah it's a Helix 4" i3 coax which was recommended. I'll play with with the 3-7khz range. It's just frustrating because when parked or low speed it sounds pretty good, but once you get higher speed some songs just become unlistenable. Thanks!
Thank you for the suggestions. Let me also ask if crossover changes should help. Currently 4" coaxial is 200hz-20,000 and midbass is 80hz-200hz. Would moving from 200 to 300 be beneficial as far as taming some of the brightness from the dash or not really? thank you.
Thanks for the advice and house curve examples. Was able to download some samples off diymobileaudio as well.
Main problem I'm facing right now is that the dash aftermarket coaxial speakers are too bright/harsh while driving. Any suggestions as to which frequencies to cut or how to modify house...
I am considering upgrading to the Musway M5 DSP amp (from Kicker Key 200.4) in my Bronco. Currently have Kicker 2-way speakers all around. Does it make any sense to upgrade fronts to component speakers or will the sound difference be negligible? Thanks!
OK so if you have coaxials all around as well, did you need to rewire for Bi Amp mode on the front speakers and what's the best way to do that. I have plugnplay harness currently--can that be redone? Thanks.
Thanks for the info. So I switched Kicker HPF from 80 to 120 and that helped a lot on the kick speakers to clear up the sound. Problem is now I have very little midrange in most songs because of the new setting. So stuck again.
Current setup is coax speakers in dash and in kick panels. Will...
Ok thanks makes sense--I can try to "fool" the DSP learning this weekend and see what happens. I just don't know what to increase or decrease if the sound appears to be "compressed" especially low and midrange instruments and the vocals are not clear kind of muddy.
Hi All. Recently installed Kicker Key 200.4 along with Alpine dash and Kicker speakers in kick panels and 4" rear pods. I find the sound sort of "compressed" and not very good in the mid bass area with DSP on. DSP off sounds high and tinny but with more distinct and clear vocals and mids. Reran...
