Yes, if they are TIG gloves you will be able to feel the plug and be good to go, but if they are stick gloves, they may be too thick to "feel". The exhaust pipe on the 2.7L is SUPER hot at the point where it passes by the transmission.

PS...buy yourself a "gauntlet" glove. Your wrist will thank you. I branded myself a number of times in the exhaust pipe the first time I did it.

Sad to say, I am just now getting around to prepping the mod bumper for installation. I have all of the parts and the tow hooks are out being powder coated and the bumper is at the paint and body shop being repainted. I should have an update here in a few weeks.
