I had the cargo shelf on the very last hole so there was only 2 bolts holding it on each side (which I don’t think you are supposed to do) and I couldn’t get the 45 to fit. Sounds like AAL made the user Bored a special bracket to raise the cargo shelf even higher to be able to fit the 55 liter...
No worries. Thanks for getting back. I ended up taking the 45 back and swapped it for a 35. Just would not fit. I figured you must have had some kind of bracket fabricated to get a 55 in. Will just stop for food refills more frequently.
Did you need to drill open the trailrax brackets to get the OVS mounting hardware to fit, or did you use different mounting hardware?
I think I'm just going to move the tent off center a couple of inches and use the trailrax mounts.
So you ended up using the trailrax 90 degree brackets? Did you try using the stock brackets that are in the picture? I bought the trailrax brackets, but they interfere with my RTT.
I was able to relocate the outlet to the driver side and I didn’t burn my vehicle down. I used the non insulated butt connectors to splice the 12 volt adapter to the wiring for the domestic outlet kit and just used heat shrink to insulate it.
Pulling the trim to get to the 12 volt outlet was a...
I’m getting ready to put my OVS 270 LT on this weekend. What mounting brackets did you use for your trmr rack? Hard to tell from the photos. Any tips for installation?
How do I go about splicing this in? On the left is the wire harness adapter coming from the current 12 v socket, on the right is the wire harness for the new outlet.
Finally putting my build together. Quick question, what size dometic is this? Before I ordered I asked AAL if my Dometic 45 would fit with the flip n slide and cargo shelf and they assured me it was a perfect fit. With everything installed at max height, my fridge needs about a half an inch...
I ended up buying that harness. Instead of cutting the lines and making the current 12v socket useless, I’ll have one on both sides. I’ll post some pics once all of the parts come in. Thanks for the help.
I do have trailer tow. Also would prefer not to have it always hot. Don’t want to accidentally forget and kill my battery.
So I can pull the passenger rear panel back, cut the wires that are already ran to the current 12v outlet, splice in new wire of the same ga, run it under the trim to the...
I posted this over in the overlanding section of the forum, but I figured it would be more appropriate here.
I recently got a fridge slide, a dometic fridge, and a Anker Power Station. My plan is to run the power station to the DC power outlet in the rear of the vehicle, and have the fridge...
I recently got a fridge slide, a dometic fridge, and a Anker Power Station. My plan is to run the power station to the DC power outlet in the rear of the vehicle, and have the fridge plugged into the power station. My only issue is the fridge/slide/power station sit on the driver side of the...
I would say this is on whoever delivered it. I’m assuming UPS. You should be able to file a claim with them.
i recently got a large order in from AAL. They forgot a few things, and sent some incorrect parts. It took 2 weeks of me bugging them, but they made it right.
Was your order...
They did tell me the low profile would not work. They allowed me to return them and just pay the cost of shipping. Ordered the 90 degree brackets. You can email support or they have a live chat feature to make sure.
Correct. Low profile and 90 degree are two different mounts. When I spoke with support they said to get the 270 mount as well to better handle the weight, especially for the 2 door.
