Bought a 2005 Limited 4x4 with the V-10 back in 2010 out of Texas that was in mint condition with 19,000 miles on it. Used it just to tow a 32' travel trailer. Fuel mileage was terrible and you needed a 1/2 acre to turn around but it was a great travel/camping vehicle. Each kid had their own row...
I'm also awaiting a Chisel but I must say my excitement has waned due to the long wait. I wonder if the lockout knobs have been milled or are they "in the queue" as well? I think I ordered 12/23 so maybe I'll have it this Christmas.
Just for reference I installed Badlands takeoffs from a 2023 non-sas 4 door with 2.7 on my 2023 Base non-sas 2 door 2.3. $400 for the takeoffs. Perfect stance and rides great. Don't over think it.
Base 2.3 manual with 35's and a Badlands suspension. Ford performance tune and I use 6th all the time. Granted I'm a Florida flatlander but I grab 6th when running 70 mph on the interstate. More than enough power for my needs. The rev matching with the tune is worth the price of admission IMHO.
Florida flatlander. Highest elevation I encounter is an overpass. Mix of town and highway and I use 6th when running 70-72 at 2,000 rpm on I95. When you can actually drive that fast on 95 since not seems to be backed up multiple times daily. Gotta be all those folks headed to Buccee's.
I have 50% ceramic on the front windshield (the entire windshield) on all my vehicles. Greatly reduces the heat and glare. Don't need sunglass in the vehicle and it does not reduce visibility at night. Never had any issues with the law.
I'm in Florida so it's all flat. I'll shift into 6th on the interstate at 70-72 mph and my RPM's will be around 2000. Running 35's on a 2.3. Fuel mileage isn't a concern as it's not my daily.
