I don't hate anything about my nor frills base as it gets Bronco. Did get a crack in the windshield today though (1st since purchase). Coming home from visiting my mom running about 45mph on a county road and heard something hit the windshield. Didn't see it but most likely came from the loaded...
I think I have the 1st Packhorse for the 2 door with seat delete. Chris was awesome to work with and even met me halfway and installed it himself. I have been very happy with the product. I believe it works with the packet stuff as well although I don't use those.
I also recently installed a similar wheel (one from RPM Bronco) and my airbag assembly removal was problematic as well. Didn't just "pop off" like the video's I watched. Nice upgrade from my crappy stock base wheel.
Pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the airbag assembly to separate from the stock wheel. It wasn't as simple as the online video makes it seem. Or at least mine wasn't. After that just unplug a couple of connectors and remove the single bolt that holds the wheel on. A couple of screws to...
Yea I should have done a little more research. No value in this top for me. No fault of seller. A 1 or 2 piece rigid (aluminum or plastic/fiberglass) biminiesk type top using the already present mounting points. Something like you see on a side by side.
I have a 2 door so obviously I only have 2 switches. I do however have a Maverick as a daily and the switches are on the arm rest. I'm constantly reaching for the wrong spot in both vehicles.
Installed the velcro and top per the video instructions. I just don't like seeing the exposed velcro. Probably should have done a little more research and purchase different product. E on me. Wasn't that expensive so not a big deal. Had I kept the box it shipped in I would probably send it back.
Installed the twill bimini top Sunday. Install is easy. The supplied velcro is too wide IMO as I don't like seeing the exposed velcro after the top is installed. I will probably replace it with a 1" wide velcro to correct that issue. A design with no velcro and just magnets and straps would be...
Nice. I ordered my 2020 base (which ended up being a MY2023) with the upfitter switches as the only option and didn't even get that. My local shop set me up with a rebranded switch that mounts to the grab handle. I would have preferred the factory switches but it works.
