I wonder if the carpet is for fold down and gear on top of these. I would be concerned about sharp items tearing the MGV, carpet is much tougher. Might not be the reason, but a thought I had.

I like cloth, does stain though. Others have suggested Scotch Guard as a protectant. I have never had cloth seats "smell", if you smoke or leave food in it maybe, but if you keep it clean, it will be fine.

I tried to do a whole car, with spayer. I would just say, it didnt work for me very well. Now I put myself on the low end of the patience scale for these things, so a more detailed and patient person should do ok. Spray thick, too thin and you will play hell getting it off.

OMG, the Escape was so small I never even noticed it first look. That is a dramatic difference. I love the grey. I wanted to like the other colors, and just haven't loved them. The grey was nice in person, not awe inspiring, but I think it will travel well through time, and not look dated.

So I have never gone anywhere I think I might get stuck, as it doesnt sound that great to me. So my Wrangler Sport has done the job just fine now and my F150 in the past. Watching a bunch of videos, comparing Traction control, to lockers. Lockers in general, got through the obstacle better...

Im moving on up, too the top......... I never could get in on day one, made day 2. Maybe I will creep into day one status. ;)

agree, I thought Limecreek's photo's looked a bit green. Interesting color. It was dead last for me as a color, and its 1 or 2 now, along with boring ass white. I want to like the reds, but just couldnt get there with them today. Mostly I obsess about Cappy's post on build trims.

I actually really liked the Cactus Grey. They had an Area 51 in showroom, and I thought it looked pretty nice also.
