  1. Sort of a poll on socket set

Gearwrench are really nice and I’ve got a full set of 3/8ā€ and 1/2ā€ I’ve been using the last several years. I’ve bought some single Teekton and Craftsman sockets to supplement the set and those seem pretty good. I tried HF once but after breaking two combo wrenches the first time I used them I...
  2. Flat Towing Success - What's Your Setup?

I take the key with me in the motorhome. Once I execute the last step and shut off accessory mode I don’t want the Bronco to go into accessory mode for some weird reason and that shouldn’t be possible without the key in the Bronco.
  3. Flat Towing Success - What's Your Setup?

Brake boost would remain on for a period of time then shut off making supplemental brake systems over brake at the beginning or under brake after it shut down. Pulling fuses disabled brake boost as does the new software when the rig is placed into flat tow mode.
  4. Flat Towing Success - What's Your Setup?

With all the concern around flat towing I thought it’d be nice to share success stories. We just completed a 3 month trip and since taking delivery in May 2022 I’ve flat towed the Bronco 12,488 miles and had 76 starts in which we put the Bronco in flat tow mode along with an equal number of...
  5. parking brake fault when I get in the car? happened twice now

It’s happened to me a few times the past few years. My strategy of ignoring it seems to be working out well.
  6. Help 2021 Badlands Lux is full of Gremlins

The next time it happens, rather than disconnecting the battery to get it to restart and clearing the codes, can you have it towed to the dealer? It’d be expensive but at least the codes would still be there.
  7. Dumb Question: Can I remove back seats on 2-door?

I canā€˜t even fit a shotgun in the back lengthwise so I can’t imagine anyone bigger than a child sleeping in the back. It’s a very small space.
  8. Negative Camber

I’m in Colorado enjoying the thin air, locally grown products while sitting in my motorhome and was thinking about its year not the Bronco . The Bronco is a 2022.
  9. Negative Camber

I just noticed my front tires are wearing much faster on the inside. I assume this excess wear is caused by negative camber. I believe itā€˜s been happening for a long time because even the rear and spare have excess inside wear. I know very little about independent front suspension but also...
  10. Why do we hate Auto Start/Stop so much?

It shuts off too fast. If there was a 3-4 second delay after stopping before the engine shut off it wouldn’t be nearly as annoying. It’s a horrible thing to happen off road if you forget to turn it off.
  11. Paint vs Powder Coat

28 years of experience in manufacturing and we used millions of powder coated parts during my career. Powder coat is more durable and can easily be touched up with paint that matches closely with a little knowledge or trial and error. Scratch a painted or powder coated surface and the underlying...
  12. Infotainment Screen Freezing

Yep, mine too! I think it’s overtaken the double honk and auto shutoff as far as the most annoying thing about my Bronco. 😤
  13. Infotainment Screen Freezing

Mine 3 year old Badlands 12ā€ screen does all kinds of weird stuff, similar to what you described, intermittently. It started a few months ago, probably a new software update with a bug.
  14. Can I hose down my 2.7L engine after a 3000 mile trip to Northern Arizona and Southern Utah?

I’ve been pressure washing my vehicle engines for 43 years. The only one that ever gave me an issue afterwards was a 1976 Ford pickup. As mentioned in this thread, hold the pressure washer a foot or more away, keep it moving and don’t concentrate the spray on any particular spot for long. Last...
  15. Suspension Upgrade Input

Thanks for all the input so far! I’d looked at Icon in the past but wasn’t aware they had lower lift options until I scrolled to the later pages on the Bronco page and they showed up there. Please keep suggestions coming!
  16. Suspension Upgrade Input

I’ve got a 2021 Badlands 2-door Sasquatch that Iā€˜m thinking about upgrading the suspension on. A while back I installed a JCR bumper, warn winch along with full skids. Overall these mods added 200#, with most of the weight being upfront. This obviously dropped the front end and softened the...
  17. OEM Goodyear Wrangler Territory Wear Rate

13,000 driving miles along with 8,000 being towed behind my motorhome, rotate every 5,000 to 6,000 miles and mine still look really good. Lots of wheeling and a couple 1,000 miles on dirt roads. As others have said they don’t pick up nearly as many rocks after 6 to 7,000 miles.
  18. Hardtop Roof Rack: if you were buying today?

I ordered my 2-door with the OEM rack and replaced that with a TrailRax shortly after taking delivery. I needed the Rotopax mounting capability due to the tiny fuel tank; not enough capacity for back country trips around Nevada.
  19. Successfully flat towing your Broncos?

I towed a little over 2,000 miles before the EBB fix and more than 5,000 miles since the fix to disable the EBB. During these trips the Bronco was placed in and taken out of flat tow mode over 40 times. My software was successfully updated via Ford’s OTA update system while my Bronco was parked...
  20. Thoughts on the JCR Vanguard front bumper?

I like mine, finish is holding up well after 18 months. I’ve connected my motorhome tow bars to it via the shackle mounts and have towed the Bronco 7,000 miles doing that and I’ve also used my winch a few times. I’ve also got Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights installed and they fit perfect. I...
