  1. Flat Towing Success - What's Your Setup?

Nice rig! See link below for the adapter you’ll need to covert one of the Roadmaster tow bars to work with the JCR bumper. My JCR bumper has 3/4ā€œ tabs so I used the 035 adapter. Ideally you’ll add the LOD bracket to connect your safety cables to, more info to follow on that if I can find an old...
  2. Flat Towing Success - What's Your Setup?

Yes but I don’t have close up pictures. This is the only picture I have.
  3. Trailrax half-rack used for hoisting 2-door hardtop roof (w/ remote electric hoist)

I’ve been thinking about doing this with my full rack. I’d attach the front portion of the rack to the steel hard top mounting points somehow so itd have four attachment points like yours. Since I won’t remove the hard top again for months, please report back if your hard top falls to the...
  4. Flat Tow on Dirt Road?

Not sure I understand what’s being suggested. You’re speaking about a pigtail in the MH correct? Are you suggesting I convert the motorhome to an electronic brake controller that would be used with both the MH and pickup? .
  5. Flat Tow on Dirt Road?

Nice old Bronco! My brother had a ā€˜69 and later a ā€˜74. Yeah, I’m going to hook it up, drive to one of the many dirt roads around where I live and try it out. My diesel pickup has engine brakes so that’ll help. If it works out and isn’t too bad I’ll look into a drop in auxiliary brake controller...
  6. Would it be crazy to flat tow my Bronco with my F-150?

One of the only valid arguments I’ve heard against flat towing is when you plan to do some extreme off-roading with your towed vehicle and there’s a high probability you will break something and will need a trailer to get the towed vehicle back to a place where it can be fixed.
  7. Would it be crazy to flat tow my Bronco with my F-150?

  8. Would it be crazy to flat tow my Bronco with my F-150?

Shouldn’t be a problem. You’ll need to invest in tow bars, an auxiliary brake controller and a way to connect the tow bars to the Bronco. Be sure to install a charge line from your pickup to you Bronco, too. That can be done through the seventh pin on the towing wiring harness connections. As...
  9. Flat Tow on Dirt Road?

Thanks for the responses so far! Thinking out loud…. If it weren’t for the fact I need to buy a separate auxiliary brake controller for the Bronco when towing with my pickup, I’d simply hook it up, find a dirt road and experiment to see how bad it gets. But my current brake controller operates...
  10. Flat Tow on Dirt Road?

Thatā€˜s what I was thinking mine would look like after 40 to 50 miles. I suppose once it gets to a certain point it can’t get much worse.…. On our long trip we had several 4 - 6 hour drives in rain storms and the highway grime was nearly as bad as your picture above.
  11. Stalled out on incline around 12,500'

I recently completed a 3 month, 5,500 mile motorhome trip, towing the Bronco, through NV, UT, WY, ND, SD, MT and CO and don’t remember seeing 93 anywhere in those states. We stayed on the west side of the Dakotas and maybe there’s more 93 in the Dakotas than I know but none of the MT states have...
  12. Flat Tow on Dirt Road?

Has anyone flat towed their Bronco on a dirt road for 30-60 miles? Road would be a well maintained dirt road that you could drive a Bronco or pickup 40 - 50 MPH on. There would be some washboard but not too bad. If youā€˜ve done this, how dirty and dusty did your rig get? My concern is the level...
  13. Stalled out on incline around 12,500'

So the purge valve would be faulty and the issue shouldn’t be expected otherwise?
  14. Window Wobble when opening and hitting bumps?

It’s a frameless window so it’s going to wobble. Like the previous poster said, you gotta have it either all the way up or down on bumpy roads like a washboard dirt road. It’s pretty annoying but I donā€˜t think there’s anyway to get rid of it entirely since were dealing with an unsupported window...
  15. Do you use wheel locks?

I use the McGard but after watching two different YouTube videos posted on a recent thread about wheels locks I realize how truly worthless they are. I’ll be switching to Advanced Wheel locks soon.
  16. 0mm Offset on Stock Sasquatch?

Can I run 0mm offset rims on a stock 2022 2-door Badlands Sasquatch? The reason I’m asking is because I need new tires now and I also want to get new rims (Method 703). But within 6 months I also plan to get the Icon Stage 8 suspension installed and that requiees a 0mm offset, rather than the...
  17. Engine wash help

For 44 years, Iā€˜ve never done anything other than pressure wash at a coin operated car wash or with a pressure washer at home. First some soap and then a clean water rinse. I keep the end of the wand 18ā€ to 24ā€ away from the engine and don’t blast the area around the spark plug wires. I did...
  18. Rack-Hack. HOSS 3.0 severe duty STEERING RACK and TIE RODS ...Ford Performance M-3200-WT

Good points! If I’m watching a YouTube video for instruction I typically quadruple the time they say it’ll take and then double that!
  19. 4 days from order to scheduled.

Congrats  If you posted this 2 to 2.5 years ago people would hunt you down :sneaky:
