Hey,
Several times now I've noticed that my drivers-side front speaker (in the dash) sometimes isn't putting out any sound (I play lots of music). To confirm I've pulled off the road, and while idling I've adjusted the speaker balance and sure enough, the driver's side dash speaker isn't...
Mine has been doing this - probably once a week or so.
Yesterday the running lamps were on when I got back to the Bronco after a hike.
Three times now I've opened the drivers door to go on a trip and the chime started going off. Turns out the headlight switch was in the On position (I keep it...
Hey and for those who aren't sure what billet aluminum is all about: https://www.superatv.com/offroad-atlas/truth-about-billet/
@EIGHTLUG I'm looking forward to receiving my Big Bend order!
Thanks @thatspecialbeat - there's a pdf linked in there at https://store-o5238.mybigcommerce.com/content/Bronco%20short%20throw%20shifter.pdf - looks very straightforward. Much appreciated!
Hello,
I'm looking for a Ford Tech Manual instruction on how to remove the shift handle from a Manual Transmission shifter. Anyone have access to a tech manual? The parts:
MB3Z-7210-F = m/t gear shift housing assembly
MB3Z-7277-A = m/t shift boot
I'm sure I could figure it out (there's a...
Hi,
I just looked under the foot well in front of the passenger front seat. I took a pic of the floor speaker. I see a pair of electrical wires poking out. Any idea what these are? I'd like to tie them down with a ziptie, etc - but don't want to ruin anything. Or should they even be there -...
I have a 2-door Big Bend, 2.3 with m/t and a 4.46 gears with rear lockers. I average 22 MPG (both town and freeway with an occasional gravel road). Plenty of power and the manual shifting is becoming smoother as it's breaking in (2600 miles so far). One note: I don't have the 'squatch...
I did the same - I went with Built Right.
However the license plate can easily bend - so I added a steel plate behind the license plate. It works well with the Built Right bracket, you just need to use four screws to hold it together (Built Right only ships with 2). Place the steel plate on the...
@Mabett I have a two-door Bronco. I keep the back seats folded down. So: could I use the four-door version of your Protector, hang it from the front seats and cover the rear seats to the back of the truck?
Thank you.
True, it doesn't have a sports-car snappiness. For a two-door, the 2.3L m/t (imo) has lots of pickup - easy to downshift and accelerate to pass somebody.
No answers so far. I did check out the F-150 forums, somebody tried it there. Evidently the wiring is built into the side doors but not the tailgate - which is fine because all I care about is the driver's door. The person also found that Intelligent Access has to be enabled in Forscan - and no...
Hi - I'm going to purchase the Transmission skid plate. I'm not a mechanic though I can follow a recipe and I have a complete set of hand tools. I don't have a lift so I'd have to crawl under the truck to bolt on the skid plate - however is this realistic? Will I have enough workspace to get...
Hey - has anyone removed the m/t shift boot from their Bronco? I watched the video (Short Throw Shifter) - I'm thinking that the side panel doesn't need to be removed first, that once the shifter knob and spring are removed, the boot can come out.
I'm not a mechanic (shade tree or otherwise)...
Fixed! Thanks everybody for your suggestions, in particular @Dingbat and @Razorbak86 - the solution I went with was to take the antenna off and gently pry the cowl up. The windshield hose was hanging loose when it should have been connected to a barb fitting. I pushed the hose tightly into the...
Thanks! Can you also attach "Windshield Wiper Pivot Arm (501-16 Wipers and Washers, Removal and Installation)" - it's not clear to me how to remove them. Really appreciate this!
Hi,
After having my Windshield replaced I noticed that the windshield wiper sprayer isn't working. I thought it may be clogged but it looks like the fluid reservoir is empty...so I added some fluid (I didn't have much, only about a quart but good enough for a test). All good until I started the...
