  1. Will they eventually build a F-150 Bronco?

I would have to say if you are taking the top off long term, especially somewhere hot and arid, or where the top will be outside exposed to UV, that you would want to oil the rubber seal periodically, but that goes for any type of rubber seals in those cases.
  2. Will they eventually build a F-150 Bronco?

I've never had the tops leak on any of my FSBs. and I take the tops off as often as possible.
  3. For the Bearded Fellas!!

I do that as well, but it still seems to dry out and gets very stiff and course within hours. these damn masks don't help, makes it go all over the place.
  4. If Ford was granted a mulligan...

tailgate , V8, SFA, race red on all trims.
  5. Is it time for Ford to build a 4Runner Competitor?

I do count the 4runner as a competitor to the Bronco, and there are, in my areas, more 4runner customers to take away from than wrangler, but not by much. The towing cap being lower on the Bronco is a concern in my book, we do tow 3-4k rarely with the 4runner, normally only 1500-2500 or so...
  6. Is it time for Ford to build a 4Runner Competitor?

we have a 4runner, it is nice enough. 2wd model though. it is reliable, it does it's job, it tows, hauls the family, hauls the son to soccer. And it completely and utterly uninspiring to drive. (it is my wifes). I always just to take the 86 on a trip than the 4runner...even though it is...
  7. Interesting Jeep Story - warranty voided for mud use

I mean, there are semantics to be argued here of course, but I would not consider running any 4x4 through 1' of muddy water as abuse. I would not consider backing a truck down a boat ramp till the water hits the back bottom corner of the cab as abuse, and I would not consider putting a raptor...
  8. Interesting Jeep Story - warranty voided for mud use

So, I go buy a Mustang, leaving the dealership, I floor it. An axle snaps, it can't handle the combination of power and traction as it was built from the factory. Should that be under warranty? what if it happens a year down the road? 2 years?
  9. Interesting Jeep Story - warranty voided for mud use

Well, we could argue that using the Bronco or Jeep for it's intended purpose, within reason, and a part fails because it gets wet, or an axle/diff breaks because of a rock, is a manufacturing defect, the parts were not designed and manufactured to withstand the abuse from the intended usage of...
  10. Interesting Jeep Story - warranty voided for mud use

my 86 doesn't look far from that jeep in that picture, and that was just getting myself out of my yard thursday, it is a yard, with grass, but it was wet after rain. it really just sounds like electronics aren't being potted at all to keep them waterproof,
  11. 2022 HERITAGE PACKAGE (Everything it will most likely Include)

O.O want to see it in Race Red of course, but this is the ticket right here! would have to change the flares to white though.
  12. Test driving 2-door Bronco today!! (Update: Sat in a real Bronco!! Test drive will come a little later)

It's been 5 minutes, either he is currently beating the salesperson to death after they brought out a Sport, or he is picking his jaw up off the floor when the real deal got rolled out.
  13. Test driving 2-door Bronco today!! (Update: Sat in a real Bronco!! Test drive will come a little later)

that actually doesn't look too bad tbh, not for a Xover anyways.
  14. Is Engineer the New Vegan?

Saying 'I am an Engineer' is not the new 'I am a Vegan'. As an Engineer, trust me, we don't just go around telling everyone.
  15. The biggest design oversight...

mine gets caught on the carpet at times too. I really like having the floor switch, but they were definitely more problematic than the current setups. I mostly like it for the nostalgia, and ease of maintnance though, but that's why I went from a 2006 F-250 to a 1986 Bronco this year for me...
  16. Totaled my car tonight

Go buy a running/driveable bronco right now. They're holding value or going up, and easy to maintain, and gets you into a Bronco early! I bought one 5 months ago for 4500, have put 3k miles on it, about 1k in maintenance, and have been offered 10k for it already.
  17. SIMPLE TIMES

I drive an 86 every day. the only thing with a tighter turn radius is a motorcycle. I can turn around on a two lane road with no shoulders.
  18. Best reason to buy a Bronco!?

Because as my 4yo says. 'YOU NEED A BRONCO!'
  19. Who else got in on Ford stock a few months ago?

really wish I didn't need to buy a new DD, (86 bronco) a few months ago, I could've invested about 7500 or so, I only put in 500 instead, it has nearly doubled since my buy in at 4 bucks, really mad I delayed buying into Waitr back in February, if I had bought in when I said I was going to...
  20. Warthog???

the Sami's have grown on me, for a fun little toy. Wouldn't mind having one to use in place of a 4wheeler when out hunting. not enough power to break stuff. medium size tires like 35 look HUGE. We have one around town with 44s..... takes him 10 minutes to get up to 55.
