  1. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Totally minor and admittedly not worth posting in this thread but it's absolutely huge to me. I received and mounted my license plates today!! Out-of-state purchase meant longer than normal wait for registration and whatnot. The dealer temp tag expired on May 5th and the truck's been sitting...
  2. Mountains2Metal Rear Shock Skids with UHMW

Standard version with Ultra Hot Metal. Wow! (I have no idea what it means either)
  3. Just installed new Armorlite floor (wash-out floor). Installation video link...

Great video and surprisingly engaging commentary. When I bought my truck used the power seats were a pleasant surprise but the lack of washout flooring was not. This is on my "eventually" list. Any change in road noise going from the carpet to the washout? Their product seems to be thicker...
  4. Familytruckster?

Those rockers and doors are rusting through, control arms and frame are likely not in great shape either, and who knows the maintenance on whatever's under the hood. Once my 2010 Expedition EL became unreliable enough for family road trips, it got replaced. At this stage in that (or my)...
  5. Looking into Portals what do people think?

I'll now and forever read it as "Solid Axle Squap"
  6. Missing Accessories / Parts in Bronco Aftermarket?

As promised. No great, not terrible. I may angle it a slightly when my actual plates show up. The mount has some wiggle room before tightening the bolts and metal can always be bent. I'll play around with it and see if following the angle of the bumper and bottom of the grill looks any...
  7. Missing Accessories / Parts in Bronco Aftermarket?

I took the roll-on bedliner approach. I still have to clean up some of the edges but scratches and potential for rust are no longer a concern.
  8. Missing Accessories / Parts in Bronco Aftermarket?

Man, you really know how to kick a guy when he's down lol I don't have a pic with a plate yet because I'm still waiting on my plates. Cross-state title transfers apparently take up to 60 days, which is concerning when the temporary plate is only good for 30. My truck's been sitting idle since...

  10. Missing Accessories / Parts in Bronco Aftermarket?

I can at least help on the license plate bracket. I don't like how low some of the aftermarket brackets hang and stumbled on this one while searching alternatives. I flipped around the orientation during installation and like the end result. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BBLZ3P53
  11. Missing Accessories / Parts in Bronco Aftermarket?

Obviously that comes up a lot but the only options available tie into rigidly-mounted racks in the rear. I suspect that during testing of any such product there's some forward/rearward movement of the windshield frame that results in cracked glass. It's the only reason I can think of that...
  12. Age and Reason for 2door and 4door buyers

You are 100% correct. I owned a full size 80s Bronco when I was younger and it was a great truck for that time of life. Fast forward several lives and many vehicles and I'm driving the kids around in an Expedition EL. I still enjoy offroading so it's got lockers and rides on 35" tires. Fast...
  13. 2025 Badlands Bronco will have Fox 2.5 inch live valve shocks (per Ford at NORRA Mexican 1000 race)

    I'm guessing an all-new, limited-edition, Wildtrak-exclusive shade of grey. 😁
  14. What exactly is in "Sasquatch Package" ?

I share your mentality in buying used vehicles and keeping them through several hundred thousand miles. I also think you're right on the price timing. The used market is coming back down to earth and there are some really nice rides available at (more) affordable prices. Congrats on the new...
  15. Dirty Dog headliner just arrived

That's a really clever design on their part. Also motivating for existing customers (me) to buy another product from them :) I really like the way they designed the mounting system. Nothing rubbing the paint.
  16. Dirty Dog headliner just arrived

Yes and no. You can physically fold the soft top back but it won't accomplish much as the headliner will still be in place. DD states that it's not designed to be used with the top folded back. After the initial install it doesn't take long to remove/reinstall the headliner. 2 velcro straps...
  17. Dirty Dog headliner just arrived

Oooh that's so much cleaner! Thanks for the tip!
  18. Dirty Dog headliner just arrived

    Yep! 😎
  19. Island Beach S.P. Questions

Old thread so it's possible you've already found out on your own but there are air hoses at the park office just south of swimming beach 1. Follow the gear list guideline provided with your beach pass and air down your tires before hitting the sand. Saltwater fishing is a pretty broad topic...
  20. Dirty Dog headliner just arrived

It's far from DIY, especially once you've seen/felt it in person. It's a thick, insulated piece with some custom mounts that bolt up to existing anchor points on the truck. Only other option I've seen is to run a sunshade bikini top with egg crate foam between it and the soft top.
