  1. Wildtrak - Has anyone tried to get rid of the sandstone DASH and interior?

Rubber parts weren’t painted, I left them the way they were. The grab handles can be disassembled into 3 separate pieces, I just masked off the rubber portions before painting the grey plastic parts on them.
  2. Wildtrak - Has anyone tried to get rid of the sandstone DASH and interior?

Sorry about the lighting not being the best, but should give you an idea. I would highly suggest removing them to paint. I can’t imagine trying to do it in the vehicle, not to mention you’d have to mask off everything really well. It comes apart pretty easy.
  3. Wildtrak - Has anyone tried to get rid of the sandstone DASH and interior?

You can get the dash wrapped in black, it’s a lot of work but doable. To be honest, I wrapped mine when I did my custom interior but didn’t really like the way it turned out, so I ended up just painting it out black. I used this product...
  4. 2 door owners, why did you choose it?

Because 2 doors look way better and are just that much cooler. To me the 4 doors are a compromise, like you want a vehicle as cool/capable/retro as the Bronco but you “need the extra space”
  5. Has Anyone? Or Can you install MGV in a Wildtrack ????

MGV has the molle panel on the back, where Wildtrak has map pocket there. Also backrest has slightly different design on upper insert on cloth seats compared to leather/MGV ones. You might be able to make them work if you also got the molle panels for the seat backs. They’re stupid expensive...
  6. 2 door Bronco Rollbar Padding

Kind of doubt anybody would make something for the Bronco. Mainly because of the curtain airbags in the roll bars, any sort of cover would need to take them into account. It would be difficult to make an upholstered cover for the roll bar that would also ensure proper deployment of the airbags.
  7. What percentage of Bronco owners have had zero problems

14 months and 40,000 km. Nothing to report, no noise from my MT.
  8. What edition is this?

Big Bend. You can tell since it has a grey grill and a sandstone interior. They just put bigger/chunkier tires on.
  9. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

Interesting. I’d probably just keep the original on mine, it has a leather wrap already so there’s gotta be a way to remove the existing and redo it in the leather I have.
  10. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

I still have a little bit of leather left over. Might have to look into wrapping mine. Not sure how it comes apart.
  11. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

Yes, by hand with a machine. Lol. Trickiest part was probably the inserts, since I had to lay out the pattern first before stitching it. That’s where one of them fancy CNC machines would be nice to have but they’re big $$$. With some patience and skill you can get away with just using a regular...
  12. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

I didn’t really note how long it took total, but the front seats alone were an entire weekend, probably 14-16 hours over two days. The MGV is gone, I used the original upholstery as a pattern for my leather. Yes, I’ve been doing automotive upholstery for a little over 5 years. We do a lot of...
  13. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

Yeah, the lighting was a little weird when I was taking pictures. I’m not sure who the manufacturer of the leather is, but the name for style and colour from the supplier is Cheyenne Stirrup (kinda fitting). The closest Katzkin would have is probably mahogany, but it won’t have the distressed look
  14. Custom Interior & Seats Inspired by Pre-Production Bronco

Ever since I first got my Bronco, I’ve been contemplating doing a full custom interior in it. As much as I love the MGV in the Black Diamond, I wanted to do something truly one of a kind. So after going back and forth on a few different designs I finally made up my mind and got to work making an...
  15. how did you handle first stone chip on body?!

I didn’t really care. Have a few chips on the leading edge of my hood, the worst area is the lower doors which have plenty of chips both sides. Rear fender flares are also chewed up from rocks hitting them. Stuff like that is bound to happen at some point so no reason losing sleep over it. Have...
  16. 7MT Aftermarket Rear Locker - Has Anyone Done It Yet?

I’m inclined to agree with greyshadow here. If you’re looking for something with moderate wheeling capability, why not just get the Black Diamond? You can still have it with steelies, comes with good A/T tires and a rear locker, as well as full steel bash plates, rock rails, and bumpers and a...
  17. Your favorite Bronco Builds?

I still love the half cab fire rescue build. Got to see it up close at sema. Sweet that it’s manual too.
  18. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Thanks! Gonna post pictures when it’s all done. Still have to get the dash & doors done.
  19. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Finally started working on my full custom interior. Rear seats are done and I spent most of the day today stitching away at the front seats. Sneak peek at the rear cushion: And if anyones wondering, this is what a Bronco front backrest looks like before it gets sewn together, minus the insert:
