  1. 2.7L w/ manual trans (is Ford listening?)

But the 2.3 is a better motor than the 3.6 Jeep. 3.6 Jeep only has 260lbft ford has 310
  2. Delivery Reality

not too many if your that early. You SHOULD get yours within the first week or so of delivery. it’s hard to say. Because there has never been anything like this. A mass production vehicle you can reserve. as of right now SEMA and LA Auto are both on track to be open this November.
  3. Delivery Reality

I assume the biggest part of why production is pushed so far back is due to government testing and approval (epa iihs etc) As well as finalized assembly prep which was just NOW allowed to be restarted. I think Sasquatch is a assembly line package not a “add on.” Other wise ford is going to...
  4. Delivery Reality

So the timeline has become more clear, as well as the total reservations. THIS IS ALL SPECULATION So there has been roughly 240,000 total reservations. And here at Bronco6G we have roughly 2,400 going to members. or 1/100 if I looked at the chart we have correctly about 2/3 (66.67%) or 1600 of...
  5. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

but high rpm torque is mostly only used for top end speed. 50-80mph pulls. How many people are going to be doing that in a BRONCO. Mustang sure but not a 73” tall box.
  6. 2.7L w/ manual trans (is Ford listening?)

Bronco 30-65k C7 Corvette 60k -140k yes 2-3x on average. the ford 7 speed is a completely new transmission. Meaning if they wanted a 2.7 manual they would have to make up their own gearing. Which takes HOUR AND HOURS TO RND. Test driving. Computer models. And test after test for mpg and...
  7. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

Also if your worried about that little bit of turbo lag. The Raptor f150 has An anti lag mode. (When in Baja) I’m sure it will be in rock mode too for the bronco.
  8. 2.7L w/ manual trans (is Ford listening?)

corvette is also 2x -3x the price of a bronco. As I’ve said before you COULD make a transmission work for both. However The gearing would be awkward for each. It’s better to have a gear set up that fits the engine perfectly. Especially an off road Turbo set up. Ford very easily could whip...
  9. New email from Ford - Bronco reservation dealer can be changed until Oct 31

just looking at the Bronco6G graph. More than half of our reservations are within that first 48hours. Meaning if that’s true for ALL the reservations. That means roughly 60-80,000 broncos were reservation then. So that very well could be WEEKS difference just being an hour apart
  10. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

ACTUAL DYNOS HAVE TORQUE CONVERTERS how many times have we been over this? modern day torque converters don’t lock up until 2500 rpm or so. So the engine torque will be massively different than output torque. these are based off of flywheel dynos. Not wheel dynos. the 2.7 hits peak 400lbft...
  11. New email from Ford - Bronco reservation dealer can be changed until Oct 31

it’s more complicated than that. Simply due to logistics and what trim. it will be as close to reservation time as possible. Plus or minus a few days.
  12. 2.7L w/ manual trans (is Ford listening?)

no it would not have Been marginal. new bell hosing and gearing and rear end combinations plus EPA testing It’s not as simple as slap it in there and it works. hence why the 2.3, 5.0 and 5.2 mustang ALLL have different gearing and different rear ends. Even tho they are all a 6 speed manual...

  14. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

again. Torque curve is better on 2.7 vs 5.0 and theres no sudden rush. You torque converter is going to cause more lag than your turbo. now if your in a manual sure. But the 2.7 doest have a manual sooo.
  15. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

who cars about that in a TRUCK. If we were talking sports car and quarter mile times sure. but where talking a truck/ suv. Where low end torque is key. Used for pulling and hauling and getting over rocks.
  16. New email from Ford - Bronco reservation dealer can be changed until Oct 31

I see a lot of people worried about negotiating prices with dealers first. build and price tool will be out NEXT MONTH. Meaning you will have at least 60-90 days to get a MSRP from the build and price tool and contact your dealer and see how much they would charge. Then simply change dealers...
  17. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

This 10000% Most converters work like this 0-1000 rpm anti stall 1000-2250rpm build up 2250+ Rpm locked meaning it means NOTHING what’s below 2250 rpm because your not getting max torque. and GTFO with thermal dynamics and heat transfer. Here’s what matters How much gas in vs how much...

  19. Why do they have such a hard time deciding to put the 5.0 in?

Mustang has a V8 for the high end torque speed that you virtually can only get in a v8. People want a v8 f150 for the torque to pull and haul. And let me tell you a secret. The 2.7 makes more low end torque (for the most part). And gets better mpg. That’s why so many more people buy the 2.7 vs...
