  1. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

    210 = 210mm ring gear. Yes sturdier.
  2. It Really Was Mike Levine

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/ford-is-opening-a-walk-in-bronco-modifications-center-“mod-center”-and-test-track-at-old-wayne-plant-update-ford-says-wont-be-public.3959/page-3#post-131790 Now the ace move would have been to select the user name "Doug at Ford"
  3. Who's going the Hot Rod route?

I'm not one for lowering trucks, but I can say this: as long as you are talking just lowering an inch or two on springs or mild coilovers, and keep the same tire size, you won't lose any of your 8.4" ground clearance. Unlike a unibody sports car, where your bumper/front splitter is often the low...
  4. Just remember - this is a rival, not a clone (to Jeep Wrangler)

Or perhaps on the bonnet, er, hood, Series ii Land Rover style?
  5. Just remember - this is a rival, not a clone (to Jeep Wrangler)

Where else to put the 35" spare in a short wheelbase vehicle? It's easy to find room for the 27" pizza cutters the EB came with, but most of us won't tolerate such small tires on an all terrain vehicle these days.
  6. Maryland Volume Buyers Group? or Maybe VA/PA/DE/MD?

If not, I see Chicago pizza and Cuyahoga Valley National Park along the route, with a possible detour through Ontario to see the other side of the Great Lakes and Niagra falls. One could come up with a worse inaugural voyage.
  7. Maryland Volume Buyers Group? or Maybe VA/PA/DE/MD?

Hey @Granger Ford ... pretty please? Just kidding (not kidding)
  8. Granger Ford – Trade in Guide

Carvana offered me $1,100 for my BMW. Needless to say, it's staying in my driveway. Indefinitely. I won't sell it for less than the cost of a radiator replacement :ROFLMAO:
  9. X-plan PIN at order or delivery

If it's already in an IRA, just reallocate some of something else toward F stock. No additional tax liability. Not posting my brokerage service publicly, but mine has $0 brokerage fees on most individual stocks, including Ford. In fact I have 3 or 4 brokers for various IRA, 401(k) accounts...
  10. Black Diamond 33s on stock steel wheels

100% on powder coated white wheels & 33s. I'm on the fence on painting the hard top, but I think a white grille would look nice.
  11. How much do you think the Mid Package will cost as an option?

Based on Ford F150 XLT, my shot in the dark is $2,100 (yes, it is a different mid package, but that seems to be about what ford wants to charge for something called a "mid package" these days)
  12. Leo Kaytes Dealership has a free lifetime power train warranty, has no ADM and accepts the x plan

Fair enough. My point is simply, from the customer side, we don't see all the holdback and dealer incentives, financing incentives, etc. that dealers profit from, but they do exist. What I've heard over the past several years (I'm not a car industry person, just a car person) is that vehicle...
  13. Leo Kaytes Dealership has a free lifetime power train warranty, has no ADM and accepts the x plan

We all know there will be a substantial dealer holdback on the Bronco, which is why invoice is so high (edited to add: maybe it's the same as other Fords, I don't have an inside scoop). It can't cost that much more to build than a Ranger.
  14. Leo Kaytes Dealership has a free lifetime power train warranty, has no ADM and accepts the x plan

I'd like to know who underwrites that warranty to know if it's worth putting much value in. Not that we don't all hope and assume your dealership is around in 5-10-15-20 years when we're all replacing turbos and head gaskets under warranty, but if there's a well known 3rd party backing up the...
  15. ICYMI: Good look at 2 Door Bronco trunk size / cargo space

That pic of the 2 door reinforces my selection of the 4-door. Pretty sure my ARB will fit the long way (rotated 90 degrees from the 2-door pic), and still have more than enough room for the dog bed next to it. Now if I weren't hauling children as well, the 2 door would be more than adequate.
  16. Road Noise

It can't be as bad as my 1992 Ranger that weighed 3,100 pounds. Basically a tin box on a ladder frame, with doors too flimsy to properly hold the wind out at highway speeds. I'm sure you'll be able to talk on your bluetooth phone just fine with all doors & windows closed. Never had a road noise...
  17. Maryland Volume Buyers Group? or Maybe VA/PA/DE/MD?

You said it in a less rambling way than I did :ROFLMAO:
  18. Maryland Volume Buyers Group? or Maybe VA/PA/DE/MD?

Say they make $1,500-$2,000 on a typical sale. They have a finite number of Broncos they will sell at that price. Many, sure, but not unlimited. If they could sell an additional 25 broncos with $500-$750 each in profit, with no additional negotiation, less money spent on overhead for salesmen...
  19. ICYMI: Good look at 2 Door Bronco trunk size / cargo space

Without knowing the height of the cargo area I can't be sure - they are the same footprint. I just know that in my VW, the 37qt comes almost up to the top of the seat backs. It's the perfect size. Bronco may technically have a deeper area back there though since the rear seats on the 2-door...
