  1. Video: The 3 test Broncos have moved on from Rubicon to Moab!

I expect they won't, but if they did make it a little further north my vote would be Idaho's St. Anthony Sand Dunes. What I wouldn't give to run a new Bronco on those dunes. For old times' sake:
  2. Congratulations to our new overlords

Had this deep dish for lunch. Lotta pineapple pizza vibe going on today.
  3. Grumblings from the Land Rover "Defender" community, they want a Bronco

Land Rover enthusiast here, can confirm. Owned a Disco and loved wheeling with it all over Southeast Idaho. Would love to own another Disco I or II or a Range Rover Classic or even an L322 in a heartbeat if the right one came along. I anxiously awaited the new Defender, and have wanted to buy an...
  4. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

Nice shot! It sounds like you've made up your mind on the Generals, and to each his own, but I'll share the following anecdote just FYI as the reason for my non-concern: The truck I ran them on (2WD Ranger) was used off-road for probably 30% or more of its miles over the past 10 years. No...
  5. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

I don't actually know, but I'll be very surprised if you can't fit 33s with those big open fenders. I thought Badlands just got different dampers and a sway bar disconnect - no suspension lift.
  6. Warning on Race Red color

I've had a dozen cars over the past 2 decades +/- (I lose track). 4.5 were red (one was a 2-tone F-150), 9 have been manual transmissions. My manual transmission ratio will improve with the Bronco, but I'm still conflicted on whether red suits this vehicle.
  7. Will the Bronco be your toy? if so share a picture of your daily driver

I'm trading my current daily (little Nissan) for the Bronco and keeping my other toy (BMW E46), but with the Bronco, I'll have two toys and no true daily driver. The Bimmer & Bronco will share daily driver duties and toy duties with the 50/50 depending on the day, weather, maintenance status...
  8. Warning on Race Red color

    Thanks for the recommendation!
  9. Warning on Race Red color

It is partly the camera, but not entirely. The orange undertones are undeniable, to the point that it did look orange-red in certain lighting. Usually just intense red in daylight, and never a dark red. At night under artificial lighting you would swear it was an orange car though. Still though...
  10. What do we affectionately call the Outer Banks model with Sasquatch Package?

How about "Bank Squash", for what it will do to your bank account! :ROFLMAO:
  11. A/X Plans won't be available...at launch?

If you got this snippet by reading the source code for the page, I wouldn't read to0 much into it. I know based on previous Ford vehicle purchases that when you do build & price (which we can't do yet), you get a different page that loads if you are logged in under your X plan PIN vs. not, so...
  12. Warning on Race Red color

    Good to hear!
  13. Warning on Race Red color

Paint on my wife's '17 VW Alltrack and and my '20 Nissan Versa has held up really well compared to what the rate of wear was on my old Focus. I've had old Fords (1989, 1992, 1997) and the main issue was clearcoat baking off the roof and the paint oxidizing to a matte finish, but never really any...
  14. Warning on Race Red color

Clear nail polish is actually a really good idea, since the only real purpose is to keep the crack from propagating, and seal it up in case the base metal was exposed. I understand the bulk of the bodywork on the Bronco is aluminum, similar to my old Land Rover Discovery. In that case, I'm not...
  15. Dealer recommendations - North Carolina/Southern Virginia

I don't know anything about your dealer, but with that response, I'd say they are the wrong one! :ROFLMAO:
  16. Ford Bronco Savings Plans

If they delay production any longer, then I will!
  17. Ford Bronco Savings Plans

I just refinanced the Versa to pay it down in 24 months so I can get used to a Bronco sized payment, while simultaneously putting aside an extra $750/month. That's why the spreadsheet exists, not on behalf of the Versa! lol
  18. Ford Bronco Savings Plans

I'll take your comments under advisement. I think putting away $750 a month to save for a new vehicle is pretty respectable, but maybe I'll hold out a little longer if I'm not able to improve on that.
