It is better to use 91, (or 93), better fuel mileage, more horsepower. Out west it is mostly 91, not 93 and because of the altitude it is OK. Personally, I would not use anything else. Also, use top tier gas.

Another great trail to do just west of the swell is Eagle Canyon. Not too hard but really scenic.

Took a friend on the trail "Zeus and Moses" Thursday. Very dusty but great scenery.

The reprogramming does help. High range is fine, but in low range you still need the brakes on downshifting, but it is not as severe.
