@RagnarKon ,
Can not thank you enough for this!
Walked into the dealership yesterday armed with your tables, flow chart, and explanations of the process.
Guy just looked at me and blinked when we got to that part of the conversation while talking price, āIāll be right back.ā
Ten minutes later...
My understanding is that is what the price protection is for. Mine came in showing the current MSRP on the sticker. Price protection knocked $2000 off putting it back to the MSRP at the time of order.
Parkās Ford in Hendersonville, NC were great when I picked up my Bronco yesterday!
No ADM.
Honored price protection up front with no hassles.
Found me a loan with a rate that was better than my credit union.
Doc fee was a skoche high in my opinion but considering I walked in and ordered this...
Iām in the vicinity of Asheville.
Got mine through Parkās Ford in Hendersonville.
Had heard from co-workers theyāve had bad times at the dealership in town so I tried Parkās.
I think theyāve treated me fairly well so far. No problem whatsoever with the price protection. Walked in loaded for...
Rail. Dealership is in Western NC
Keep in mind, I was in no hurry to get this Bronco. Just started the process so I wouldnāt get caught out with the way the auto market is right now and my Pathfinder getting long in the tooth. Iād have preferred that it take longer to get here so naturally...
Not sure.
The reason Iām laughing at your question is because the wife is totally on board with rattle can spray bombing it.š
Iām going to give it some thought but whatever I do it wonāt involve throwing a lot of money at it. This thing is first and foremost going to be used as a utility vehicle.
Are you a financial advisor?
Read the last part of my post. The only point Iām trying to convey is that just because someone walks away over an increase in the APR doesnāt necessarily mean they were in over their head to start with.
I once sold a bike to a Tokyo investment banker for his kid...
Another thing to consider is that just because someone could buy one outright doesnāt mean that it is in their best finanvial interest to do so.
If they are in the situation that they could either pull $40 to $80 grand out of a position where it is earning 8%-11% or finance the entire amount at...
I was going off the post I quoted at āless than $100ā. I figured $75 was a fair number for that. And yes, if the example given was based on a difference on monthly payment, itās a simple calculation. Difference in payment x number of months = the total difference in price.
Hard to figure...
$75/mo over 60mo is $4,500.
Throw that same money in an IRA and itās even more... or at least should be.
If itās just a want it may be worth it at 3% but not 6%. Also, some manufacturers subsidize their loan rates on certain vehicles so it may be possible to find something that fills the same...
The lower the number the further outboard they sit.
-24 is more poke than -12, which is more poke than 0.

I was taught to put it in 1st if pointed downhill or Reverse if pointed up hill so if it did roll and turn the motor it would not be turning it backwards. In the Bronco it would be Crawl and Reverse.
I got a response by emailing Elena Ford and copying Jim Azzouz and Jim Farley. They still didnāt do anything for me but at least someone got back to me and looked into it.
They seem to either have an ordering system that nobody knows how to use, have an ordering system that is holding them...
I used a smaller dealer rather than the larger one down it town here. Was blissfully ignorant of the whole reservation order debacle Ford had created. Just went there because the larger one has treated coworkers poorly. Placed an order in Feb. now built and on its way to dealer. Maybe they do a...
Fordās been botching orders and pissing people off across the board.
They are inept. Canāt handle a simple database and ordering system but want to sell people computer controlled electric vehicles.
No thanks.
Thereās a post somewhere on this forum with contact email addresses for some folks at Ford executive. They at least get back to you and make you feel as though youāve been heard but reality is either nobody at Ford has any clue what theyāre doing or just donāt give a damn about their customers...
