Beautiful! That looks like ambrosia. The staining is caused by the tree protecting itself where the beetle bores in. Spalting has a more spiderwebed look to it that is created by the start of decay.

I use Discount Tire for my snow tires because nobody else around here can get Nokians for me but for everything else my local guy crushes them on price. Case in point, I just ordered a set of 265/75/16 Dynapros for the Bronco and they were about 25% less mounted and balanced.

5’ 10” (Used to be 6’) Fractured L5, ruptured L4-L5 and L5-S1. Base seats are some of the most comfortable I’ve sat in in any automobile… Ever. Did not expect that at all. My fear is that when they break in they no longer will be.
