Oh for sure.... @Administrator, @Zach@Granger, @PREMiERdrum and of course last but not least @DealerInsider, for all that you do that there's no way you get paid enough to deal with, as Tom would say "We appreciate U"
@Administrator any chance you can clarify? The cancellation of schedule email seems to specifically line out those for the week of 10/18. Does that mean that 10/4 and 10/11 weeks are still being scheduled or were those leftovers from previous weeks that they're just doing clean up on?
The beauty behind it is that you can ultimately just use it as a regular rear view if you want to, but it would be really helpful for when the soft top is down and you can't see anything in your regular rear view.
That makes sense then, the folks on this thread would all be late reservations, all of the people who actually got them are over on the other one. I wasn't thinking about all of the transfers, but that makes sense too. I did go over to that thread and confirmed that it was posted up in January...
I could be wrong, and Tom ( @DealerInsider ), correct me if I am, but I believe that Tom was a bit late to the forum party. I remember his initial thread being posted probably a few months after Grangers, Stephens or Leonardtown and because of that if memory serves, initially he was met with...
My brain always immediately shoots for the techie complicated solution, but a low tech solution like that is actually pretty brilliant if the angle could be worked out so that it wasn't just pointing at the sky so you'd only see mack trucks behind you.
It's a different thing....and there was actually a commercial a while back that showed what it does perfectly, but for the life of me I can't recall the manufacturer and can't find the commercial. The rear camera that's already connected to the car is basically pointed down and out so that you...
I don't know, those are definitely good points, I'll always grade on a curve with a rental though. There's always a pretty good chance that some of those things worked fine when they left the factory and were ruined by a renter who didn't know what they were doing somewhere along the line.
That looks like an interesting option. I love crutchfield too, been shopping with them for probably 30 years now. The only catch is when their prices are just outrageous compared to other places. I don’t mind paying a 1% premium or something like that to support them, but in some cases it’s a...
My buddy has a GMC Sierra where the rear view mirror also has a video screen in it and can switch back and forth between being a video screen that’s showing what’s behind the camera and a regular rear view mirror.
2 questions on that front,
1 does Ford have a corresponding option on their...
This is curious....I thought we were pretty well locked in with our reservations on that 3/19 date (or whenever it was) and we couldn't move the reservations anymore? If we CAN move the reservations still, I would definitely be interested as I have a July reservation with a dealer that I don't...
Seriously? I think they just don’t want to. Maybe alternatively when you start getting out on the trails with some of the forum members one of them that’s done it already could knock it out for you? Just a thought.
I’d assume in a pinch the dealer can do it if you’re nervous about it. Some of the folks on here really use Forscan for multiple purposes and play with the settings, if you suspect this is the only thing you’re going to ever do with it, it might not be worth the trouble of buying and learning it.
but seriously, in a couple of responses I’ve seen you recommended a catch can, but also the extended warranty, which is the route I had planned to go. My question is, would adding the catch can impact the warranty in any way?
I love it where I live up here in Maryland , and love all of the people, but getting my new Bronco soft top in November might result in me becoming a snow bird for at least one winter.
I'm honestly conflicted on ADM. Part of me still thinks that it's greedy, but I think another part of me me tries to be understanding to the situation that the dealers are still in and the concept of supply and demand. A lot of the dealers barely have any stock at all and if you don't have...
