  1. Rock the Park

We love Rock the Park, we’ve got a streaming service called Curiosity Stream (think Netflix for science and history stuff) and we’ve seen all of them on there. Even went to try out the natural water slide in Shenandoah because of it (that water was COLD).
  2. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

I prefer the lux exterior with matching handles/mirrors, but that said, either way I’m going to go with the body color mod top (assuming that still going to be available for 22) so that mitigates that factor a bit. I really prefer the bigger tires of the BL, but don’t know that I need to go...
  3. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

I’m indecisive as hell, right now I’m split between OBX and BL which is a ridiculous conundrum on its own. Lux and tow with either one, MGV with BL, leather with OBX. The roast leather with the OBX is my favorite interior, but I’ve got some hopes still languishing that the WT leather interior...
  4. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

Just tell her it's already included and then whisper (in the Outer Banks) under your breath.
  5. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

I thought about that, I get pretty decent treatment from the bank, so my rate would be closer to 2.5%, which would make it still less. Presumably oil changes and routine maintenance might cost more, but on the flip side of that there's the potential long term costs that might wind up being...
  6. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

I feel like the answer is C. turn hard left and just drive over the Camry's hood.
  7. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

LOL...I did consider tuning the 2.3, but in that scenario you're stuck on premium forever, so you'd still be in the higher ultimate gas cost for premium vs regular (albeit much more fun than the stock 2.3 with that tune).
  8. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

Sorry...should have precluded that post by saying that I'm an accountant....so the math doesn't drive me crazy...it comforts me. I know, I'm weird. I'm interested that the gas price difference is only 31 cents in CA despite the price being higher. Out here in MD as soon as the gas prices...
  9. Is anyone else cancelling and getting the F150 Lightning?

I do agree with you that Ford should be a bit more transparent on range limitations with respect to payload and towing. That said, it ultimately depends on use case. Taking a trailer to the mountains....yep, definitely not ideal with the Lightning (that said, you've got a nice place to watch...
  10. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

So I've been giving the 2.3L vs 2.7L engine a lot of thought and I think that I may have come up with a way in which the 2.7 may wind up actually being cheaper, and yes, this is me totally trying to justify the bigger engine to myself. Let's say, just for the sake of simplicity that I'm going...
  11. Official MPG figures: 2021 Bronco 2.3L and 2.7L fuel economy

Maybe I didn't ask that correctly, If I took the OBX and just swapped the locking axle (which is an $800 option, but I'm assuming doesn't change the tires) That would change the gear ratio, but not the wheels/tires. My question is the normal OBX (with 2.3 auto) is rated 20/22/21, I'm assuming...
  12. Official MPG figures: 2021 Bronco 2.3L and 2.7L fuel economy

Apologies if this has been covered already and I just didn't see it, but anyone have any idea of what the impact will look like on the swap on OBX to the rear locker? As far as I can understand the stock for OBX is 3.73 ratio (so presumably that's the numbers that are on page 1 of this post)...
  13. OBX vs BL conflicted

So, one thing that I was thinking of, I think I’ve probably seen (give or take) a million pictures of various Broncos, but I can’t recall seeing one type. Has anyone on here seen a photo of a (non-sas) OBX next to a (non-sas) BL? Of all of the various events I can’t recall that being one of the...
  14. 2022 Bronco Colors Online - no Green (yet)

This, definitely this. Plus, I'm waiting for 2022 mainly for the body color modular top (still hopeful) and if they nix AMB without ever having a body color top for that one (or a white top for that matter) it would be a huge waste.
  15. Official MPG figures: 2021 Bronco 2.3L and 2.7L fuel economy

There's got to be something off about that right?? I mean that 2.3 auto BL not only has worse HWY MPG than City, but the 2.3 actually has worse MPG HWY than the 2.7, which confuses me to no end.
  16. Trailer hitch roof rack solution for soft tops

I've heard good things about those hitch-mount racks for kayaks. In a pinch it could get really pricey, but you may actually be able to add one of those plus a swing out adapter and still be able to get to the back. Most of the swing out adapters have a max of 250 lbs, so I would assume that...
  17. OBX vs BL conflicted

I think what I'm learning here overall is that if I do go BL, I'll probably be able to find someone on here that's going to be willing to swap flares with me (though I may have to chip in some extra in that deal).
  18. OBX vs BL conflicted

That's an interesting point on the blue accents going with VB, those blue accents were one of my cons on OBX (especially that grab handle) but with VB, it probably looks like it really belongs there.
  19. Maryland advice

I've lived here for 42 of my 43 years and I had to look up Pax River to see what that is, but don't be too hard on me since I'm not military. It's down in southern Maryland where just about everywhere should be fine as far as apartment shopping. I can't speak to the job market for southern MD...
  20. OBX vs BL conflicted

Good point, perception definitely plays a part in it. I suppose half of my problem is that I'm sitting in B6G with the most hardcore of hardcore Bronco fans. My guess is that the majority of people who see these aren't going to have any idea about the difference between the various trim...
