hero switches are too close together. I only use the front and rear lockers out of those switches anyways. But I think the front and rear positions should be switched anyways (I might switch the wiring one day).
The world is your oyster if installing aftermarket switches - dealers choice
First - I love my IAG skids. Note that they fit so that the bottom surface aligns to be flat across all the skids (hence skidding...) and will be around the height of the bottom of the rear diff. So that tranny and transfer case skid, lined up to the bottom of the fuel tank skid, will make it...
of course it is hard to tell from the video but it sounds pretty obvious and NOT faint. Jack it up and use a separate jack to manipulate the wheel. sounds like control arm or ball joint. could be sway bar so check the mount bolts on that while youre there
not sure which part of the door skin you mean, hard to tell from photos. But if your concern is simply matching, I'd ask them to order a full set (that would presumably match).
so I'll add to the "rotate your tires" crew - my rears tend to lose some tread lugs from wheeling at a higher rate than the fronts (still on the GYs). So rotating shares that fun amongst everyone.
having done tire rotations one an 8-lugger most of my life, without an impact gun. the bronco is nothing. I still prefer to do this myself cuz I can take a look at things and see if anything looks off. check brakes, remark the lugs (I use the vibratite bolt marker stuff), take a full look at...
the IAG bag is great - bought it early in ownership and love it. Had a couple bronco buddies but the same as a result. Protects the windows well and it fits behind the second row seats in the small slot between the seat backs and the trunk liner side bulges
if you really feel you must hit em with something now, I wouldnt take em off. Just climb under there and do your best.
Assume you're planning on wheeling again this year...
I take mine (3/16" steel) off each winter and touch them up. sometimes a little sanding if needed (the big gouges) and / or some rust converter. But really just a few top coats - I use the krylon textured black cuz thats what I painted my bumper with. plus the skid removal gives me a chance...
That's a great line up. MAny hours on the trails! You'll be in good company and dutch john is a great trail. dicky bell is really just the hill climb. hopelly I can join yall
dutch john has a trenched area that looks a little intimidating but is very passable, when descending it gets a little off camber and the steering rack needs to work. there is bypass tho if you go through the trees up the hill. Dutch John also has another rocky area that I hid tranny skid...
not sure what everyone is running but dickey bell is absolutely doable without a spotter, with lockers.
I may be down to head there on the 6th. I was out a week ago and there was certainly some mud. I was driving to pinehurst yesterday and went through what mustve been 3" of rain but that...
i have a 2024 2.3L. I use an evacutor to get as much oil out as you can (for yall that know it certainly is not all of it). I drain the rest out the drain plug with butchered up 2 liter bottle to keep the oil of my skid plates.
But as an FYI - a slim 12 oz beer can fits perfectly on the oil...
my rear recovery hook (still have the plastic bumper on the rear) has seen its shared of being dragged on a rock. If I had a hitch receiver , it would likely have seen the same. As brian mentioned, offroad varies. if there was a trailer connected to it, it would be a no go.
However, assuming...
